When asked I usually say I'm introverted because I like having time to myself and I've always been sort of a homebody.
But I honestly love going to frat parties and parties in general. And I never get that "winded down" or tired feeling after spending a prolonged amount of time with people. I can spend an entire week with people and I feel fine.
I guess since I consider myself self-independent and the fact that i am so used to doing/figuring out things for myself that I tend to prefer my time alone but I would feel so lonely/bored if I didn't have someone to talk to on a daily basis.
I've taken the Myers-Briggs test a number of times and I've gotten results for INTJ, ENFJ, ISTJ, ESTP, but primarily ISFP comes up so idk. People are complex, man.
So NG, do you consider yourself introverted or extroverted? Or do you think you could be both?
introverted by default
extroverted when something interesting happens or when the people seem harmless or less obnoxious then usual
When ever you feel powerless, just remember this.

I'm both

I'll introvert my dick in ur mouth
ho
trying to label yourself this & that is pretty futile since human beings are all different & unique so it's no use to categorize & put them in different boxes. you might be this & that to one degree or the other but i reckon nobody is completely introverted or extroverted. the only demographics you can really differentiate people between is stuff like age & sex lol

These are all just words to describe a personality. People change their behaviour all the time. Actions don't fully define a person. Someone might be acting like a bad person, but it doesn't make them one. Being introverted at times doesn't mean you can't be extroverted.
It would be deductive reasoning to think an introvert can't be extroverted at times.

That makes sense. Now that I think about it, man is a social creature so I guess one could argue we're all naturally extroverted.
Both actually. Depend on moods. However, most of the time I'm extroverted.
I am an introvert.
Introverts deal with things and process information by thinking it through in their own heads.
Extroverts deal with things and process information by immediately bothering everyone else.
I cannot stand extroverts.

So....loud obnoxious people?
I'm a very introverted young man.
But with that said, I don't let my introversion cripple my ability to make friends and enjoy social functions. I just can't socialize anywhere near as long as the average extrovert can.

Who says you have to be loud to bother other people.
Obnoxious? Well, you didn't steer away from the trajectory with this adjective. Maybe slightly.
I'm introverted. Spending a lot of time with other people takes a lot of energy out of me.
I don't hate going out doing stuff friends, but I generally need a couple days to myself before hand.

Conal pretty much beat me to it.
You seem like a flexible person, tis all, and you'd probably be fun to hang out with.

That's doesn't make you an introvert, almost everyone likes spending some time alone.
But I honestly love going to frat parties and parties in general. And I never get that "winded down" or tired feeling after spending a prolonged amount of time with people. I can spend an entire week with people and I feel fine.
So you're an extrovert.

Well nobody. But I know plenty of people who find loud people annoying. Me being one of them.
But I hardly know me so I don't know if I should count.....

Basically this. Even if you are highly independent and don't mind being alone, that doesn't technically classify you as an introvert.

But going by yurgenburgen's post, I would technically be an introvert because I don't depend on the opinions/influences of others.

Yea, I'm not like that at all.
do any of you have evidence that the introvert/extrovert dichotomy has any grounding whatsoever in scientific fact?
myers-briggs is unsubstantiated pop-scientistic bullshit and that's where it comes from -- aided by the 'introvert' slave-morality, you know, actually it's *better* to be an introvert because we're *above* the *peasants* and we're *smart* and read *books* while everyone else is watching jersey shore and getting fake tans and going to parties and socializing and being happy abababa i'm not like other girls bababababa why does no one love me

So then you're an extrovert. Because what Sequenced said is a dead on definition of what an introvert is.
I'm definitely an introvert. I love to hang out, but it becomes exhausting mentally and I have to just get away for a while.
I talk a lot on the interwebs but don't talk much in person.
So I'm "Extroverted" here but extremely introverted in real life.
So am I both??

Introvert for life.
Since working I've "come out of my shell" a lot. I'm pretty great at communicating and forming relationships and not being so nervous and all that around people I have to interact with for work. I could probably sort of fake it as an extrovert. Nah. Regardless I always NEED my downtime, alone time, personal space to re-energize because interacting with so many people wears me the fuck out.
I'm a quiet stay and home, sip tea, read books, and play videogames type.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!

Eh, that's kind of a bad definition of introvert IMO
If you don't depend on the opinions/influences of others I'd say that just means you're confident/comfortable with yourself and so don't need approval.
I'm introverted, extroverted, and perverted.

I am not an expert on this stuff
you might just be roughly in the middle of the spectrum

Ambivert, whether I'm intro or extroverted depends on the situation

virtually everyone lies somewhere in between the two extremes. it is very difficult to function as part of society if you are 100% introverted or extroverted.
most exhibit both introverted and extroverted tendencies. for some, introversion is their dominant personalities and vice versa. it is not uncommon for people to score equally high on both personality traits.
i am reserved and prefer to work alone. however, i enjoy being around with people whom i know in my spare time. i am mostly introverted but i can be outgoing at times.
I am just a random user from a set of measure zero and thus am negligible. Or to put it another way, a worthless piece of shit.
