Moar doodles.
Can anyone recommend me a how to comic book that's really in depth. Especially with composition.
I think the perspective, lighting, and expressions are improving in the last 2 especially. Keep pushing :D

Pushing till I drop. xD
Thanks Fx!

I kinda wanted too doodle my characters doing stuff now daily.
I recommend googling "rule of thirds" and flow where the wind may take you. That's the red grid I applied for composition, which is completely subjective.
The second thing I did (that I STILL jacked up) was attempted to have the characters "own their side of the screen". The rule of 180 becomes more interesting with 3 characters. The trick is to not get caught.. like I did.
Google:
"rule of thirds"
"180 degree rule"
"mirroring"
- Also, use the lines in your environment and design to lead the viewer's eye. Some lines I used include the tilt of the rear-view mirror as a whole, and the elbow of the driver pointing at the two in the back.
- Avoid "mirroring", too. Lines at parallel angles and similar body appendage poses. Etc, etc.
These are misc. thoughts I believe would help mulling over as you proceed. I recommend watching some of your favorite films and take visual notes of layout and such. Like 1st shot/scene is a wide establishing shot, 2nd would be characters framed up, 3rd would be close-up for dialogue/monologue.

Yeh definitely. I really haven't thought about composition when making this. And I do lack the knowledge of it.
My friend recommended me a book about story boarding and composition, so I'm going to read that and try again.
I should probably make a small comic project just to see and learn how the comic process goes, make thumbnails, and overall learn from the experience of it on what I know and what I lack.
Thanks Mafic! :D
