Epic story fodder

Yet again, I have a story idea but probably won't have the motivation to make anything out of it. Anyone is free to write about it, or I just might work on it here myself in which case anyone is welcomed to follow along.

The Story Idea: Lately I've been reading to bible for it's interesting fables and stories. The story idea is of a biblical nature and deals with the 7th day during which god "Rested"

What if; the original events that took place were "lost" long ago and today that day has been glazed over as a day of rest for the creator? What if, in the original account, on the 7th day god created other beings greater than man. Another entire race (maybe angels, maybe spirits, maybe aliens or what-have-you) and this race was displaced aeons ago. The race would then come back in modern times and try to rule (or maybe just live among) the humans and an entire pandora's box of events, creatures and lore surfaces.

It would be essentially filling a plot hole with an entire story line. I love doing that hahaha.
I'm researching the Anakim right now.
