minecraft_server help?

I'm trying to run my own server with minecraft_server.1.7.2.exe but it's not doing anything. It starts up, but all it shows is the memory use and the average tick. The log and chat box is totally empty, and so it the players box. There are no errors. I did it before once on 1.6.4 and it work fine. When I downloaded the .exe file I just deleted the folder I kept the old one in. The I followed this dude's tutorial. Any ideas?

I always use Hamachi to run a Minecraft server. It's the easiest way if you just want to set up a small server for your friends. Make a logmein network and use that network's IPv4 address as the Minecraft server's IP.
