Looks like Marvel didn't have the stones to stick with the Mandarin twist in Iron Man 3.

This does fix an error in the films.
The Ten Rings in the first Iron Man didn't seem to have anything to do with Killian's Ten Rings in Iron Man 3.

Now the only question is, who will play the "REAL" Mandarin this time? It certainly can't be Ben Kingsley again.

It'll clearly be Verne Troyer. I mean who else could play the Mandarin?

Hopefully someone that's actually Chinese
This is great news. I'm excited to see it.

Chow Yun-Fat.
I am not a poet, and I do not intend to be.
I just wanted to post so you do not forget me.

Yes, this is a great idea. Chow Yun Fat is my favorite Chinese actor. I even forgive him for Dragonball: Evolution, which was total crap, although he was the best part of a terrible movie.

I wonder how long it will be before we see the "real" Mandarin in a movie .Don't they have these movies planned out years in advance?
It really diminishes the point of Iron Man 3. Basically it says that the big bad boogieman IS real.

Actually it could be. I've not seen IM3, but didn't they say that he had plastic surgery to look like ancient descriptions of the Mandarin? If so then Ben Kingsley SHOULD play him.

Seriously, I thought the twist with Ben Kingsley was the only good thing about Iron Man 3. That scene was hilarious and I don't think anybody saw it coming.
I can imagine the comic book fans rage about it though.

Yeah, he would be perfect for this role.

He would be awesome as the Mandarin. But I have this weird feeling that they're going to be stupid and cast someone who looks VERY out of place to play as him instead.
