R.I.P. Marcia. Edna Krabapple will be retired since she died. That sucks, she was a semi-interesting character.
I guess Matt Groenning figured out which character to retire on The Simpsons now. Rest in peice Edna Crabapple.
Well that's a shame. It's a shitty thought, but i'm actually surprised so few Simpsons voice actors have died since the show started, like, 24 years ago. Be interesting to see if they'd stop or keep going at this point if they lost one of the major voice actors.

The Simpsons needs to be cancelled fairly soon. The longer it goes on, the more likely we'll have other voice actors dying off in real life.
I mean, I want the Simpsons to end with a grand finale, not shut down when one of the main characters' voice actors passes away.
The show has aged, as has those involved.
Given the irreplaceable nature of these voices, I think concluding the series would be for the best.

Didn't she also do the voice of the crazy cat lady? Who else did she play on the show. I also remember her as the maid on That's My Bush.
There going to be respectful and retire the character instead of replacing her, or having her as a silent background character like they did with the lunch lady.
She will be missed :(

They've confirmed it's not Edna they're killing off so not only are they retiring one character, there's going to be one killed off as well so that's two characters down. It's gonna be hard to deal with the loss of Marcia since without Edna you're not going to be able to make any scenes involving the fourth grade class room and I'd rather they don't take the route to replace Edna with another teacher.
