YouTube Permission 2013-10-23 17:13:24 Reply

I currently have a YouTube channel dedicated to producing videos by promoting small artists and vocalists who wish to get noticed. While it is a small channel (at the moment) I wish to expand on its current 100+ video library containing indie artists from around the world. It started with emusic and while much of the content I have uploaded has been matched with third party content, the channel is not under the subject of copyright strikes as of yet (and I hope it stays that way).

I would love to link to my YouTube channel (not the one in my signature) but it would be against forums rules to do so.

If you are a small artist and wish to submit any content to me for "promotion" as it were, then just let me know and I will be more than happy to create a video to advertise you on YouTube. I will only upload up to 3 videos on any given day for the purposes of promotion, otherwise an overwhelming amount of uploads will result in almost no promotion at all.

I will be updating my signature momentarily. Search for Surfin' Previews in my signature, that is the YouTube channel you're looking for. I hope you enjoy the current content on there, and I hope that it gets further noticed.

What do I record?
Firstly, I will download your song and play it in Audiosurf (the original one, I have little money for the new one) as I record it in 1080p. The result will be edited, encoded and uploaded to YouTube.

Will I monetize the video?
Only with your permission. If you do not wish me to monetize, just don't say anything about money and I will know you do not want the video monetized. Otherwise, any express permission here I will be hugely thankful for.

Will you receive credit?
Well, of course. Credit will be in the form of a link in the description below the video. If you have any commercial works that you wish me to include as links (iTunes, Bandcamp, Amazon etc.) then you are more than welcome to tell me, as well as any social links you might have.

Other notes
I was unsure of just simply going to the thread on people already promoting music because I feel that without their permission it would be infringing on their works, despite the fact that the work in question is under the Creative Commons license. In order for monetization to work, however, I will need your express permission, which is why I decided to make this thread.

If you are unsure or have doubt that your work will be promoted in the way that you think it will, then by all means simply ignore me.

Actually, please PM me any details regarding promotion of your music content. I do not want this thread to be largely overwhelming nor do I wish to break forum rules by giving you permission to expressly advertise your works -- this will be done in a promotion video anyway.

In addition, it will make it easier for me to track than searching for promotions in this thread.
