3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsIf I round out this year with $19,153 total (no income tax because I don't actually have a job) that puts me in the 15% tax bracket, after filing.
15% from $19,153 is $2,872.
Now, suppose I happen to spend $19,100 before the deadline, all purchases which will be filed. Would I still be charged that $2000, even though I only have $53 left??

I believe that the amount of tax is calculated based upon your total earnings for a year - not the amount you have in-pocket at the end of the year.
If you spent your tax money you'd be done for tax evasion.

That can't be how it works.

You need to find $2,819 somewhere to add to the $53 you have saved. If it's not cash or assets you can sell off to make cash to pay the IRS, it needs to be deductible expenses such as receipts for equipment to run your business and unclaimed returns.
This would be better if asked in ''Politics''.
I don't think anyone in this section knows much about politics.

It's not politics, dimwit, it's a chore every adult person in USA has to deal with, no matter if he has any political orientation, or not. People should talk about these things to know how to deal with them. Knowledge is to be used and spread.
tell the IRS to eat a dick, those useless fucks should be going after real assholes who don't pay taxes like Apple.
