Let's Make a Show

Though this is an ongoing effort, and I consider it to be a community,
the NG moderators classify this as a collaborative effort.

So we shall continue from here.

The original text from the old message board started with
"So, it's been a frequent thought of mine to arrange a community of talented individuals and groups to create a user based, written and funded animated show.
Whether or not the show makes it to any platform besides web is up to the support from the community as a whole.
There will be a URL and the community will be audition-based.
This is the official forum thread for now until I change it (brought to you by Captain Obvious.)
I have many ideas for funding in mind to be discussed among those interested in being potential members."

Hmm, I may be interested. I've got a lot more in the works than what's on NG, so uh.. just throwing that out there.

I'd like to participate by doing every kind of animation work that's needed although I'd prefer doing tweens.

I'm a fairly decent writer if you need any of those still. I don't have a portfolio or any works online, but I would like to get into doing a bit of writing in my free time. It'd be awesome if you would allow me to help out with your cool-sounding project, it seems like a lot of fun and would be a great starting point for me!

I realized how badly it sounded to just say I'm basically inexperienced, so this afternoon I typed up a first draft of a halloween-themed story that I could submit here for at least a little something. It is a first draft, I'd normally go back and polish it a few times, but this is what I could get done in my down time this evening. The short anecdote can be found here, hopefully that shows off my writing ability a bit better. It does have a dark tone to it, but I'm confident in my abilities to write in most genres.

Oh and sorry for the double post, I'm a relatively old member of NG but new to the forums and didn't notice an edit/delete button for my old post.

I encourage you, and anyone interested, to post on the forum as much necessary. It's a collaborative effort.

Your story is good.

As for the show's tone/genre, think more 'Courage the Cowardly Dog' type of horror/comedy.

Though this is a direct reply, this information is essential to everyone.

Right now, I'm trying to save up for the initial equipment and advertising budget.

Those involved in the community are encouraged to spread the word because it's for everyone's benefit.

If you can prove how many people you influenced, you will even be compensated for your effort.

well J rex from this thread and my encoder are working on the Omni-battlefield game it would be cool I the rest of the flash ppl working on episodes cuz the game and the show tie in like star wars expanded universe.

I can, but it's a tedious process.

Might I offer the choice of original character sprites?

The new episode could still follow the same story but with newly created characters.

If you already have your mind set on this, you can just dismiss the previous statements.

Nah sounds good we can use sprites from Tales of Nuriki Deongeon and Kingdom Hearts plus.
