I don't know about you, but whenever I do long animation projects, I tend to do small side projects to keep things fresh. I know I can't be the only one, so I decided to create a forum for animators to show off those small side projects that keep us sane. Sharing the little side projects we do is a great way to show off the talents we have in the NG community.

The rules of the forum are simple.

1) Play nice, if your being an asshole you probably going to get eaten up by others
2) Post those animations! They can be: sketches, non-colored, finished lines, key frames etc.
3) No spammers. we all respect the animation forum, please don't go around spreading things that aren't relevant to the topic.
4) Please NO post to full length animations here on NG so you can get more views.
5) This is not a cratique forum.
6) Same NG Forum Rules apply

I'll start off first with something I did between my lunch time

When i made this, i had an epiphany, im bad at drawing within a reasonable pace at a decent quality, and that i should abandon relying on framebyframe. this took somewhere between 1-3 hours to make.

Hes a character from a series im working on.
Since that, i went and build all the characters into character rigs (non boned), and aside from faces, its all tweens now, though ive realized i probably should do more angles and more varients of the characters, man, its tough i have to try like 100 times before i get even the slightest stuff correct.

I too feel the same, i work better when i have something distracting me, especially when its more animation, though i wish i could be distracted with worthwhile mini projects :( instead of redundantly wasting time i could spend learning if only i could find a means to learn animation techniques for body movement during speech

Nice! I like the look of the character, it reminds me of a lot of really old cartoons or a spider man villain! if your looking for better animation tutorials, then I made a playlist a while back with a bunch of tutorials made by animators over the net! check it out! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqBvYGskIV9KlhH_eSiHh7KG-N6p38m9H&feature=mh_lolz
I highly recommend watching the "Happy Harry Hu Ha How Two How To Series" hope it helps!
