I think a lot of old memes were funny, until they got old. They get old because they're always the same joke, with a few changes; then we move on.

Rage Comics used to be amazing, Numa Numa Dance was hilarious; but they all get old eventually. Chuck Norris jokes are in a transitional period to getting old, I think.

There are simply so many freaking YouTube Poops, it would be impossible to find some that aren't funny. Sturgeon's Law says that at least some stuff can be good. In fact, the stuff that does become mainstream memes are usually funnier than those who aren't.
