Odd title, I know, but bear with me.
What's your favorite game world that you would love to live in? One of my theories is that people love and get attached to video games and their lore because it allows them to be something they can't.
So what game's world would you love to live?

Shit!
I'm a survivor. We're a dying breed.
It is today. That is not a problem.

The Elder Scrolls has a very detailed and pretty neat history.

I don't think I'd want to live in any fantasy or sci fi game world. Most of them are dangerous.

Mass Effect post reapers would be cool. Elder Scrolls world would be cool except for all the deadly enemies and stuff. Animal Crossing would be cool in a certain way. It would be a simple and peaceful life. Also why is this in General and not Video Games?

I don't read enough video game lore to care about any game world other than pokemon.

Meh, I think it would be boring, to be honest~ Before the Reapers would be a lot more interesting.
And why isn't this is videogames? Good question!

I would have loved to explore the world of Half-life 2 more than the game allows you since you're always going to multiple places in the game and fighting enemies, most players don't stop for one or two seconds to admire the world around them.

I think it's a bit weird to just assume you'd be "the one" in whatever gameworld you'd choose to step into considering the chances are extremely low.
So assuming I'd just be a regular citizen, I'd pick gameworlds I'm less likely to get killed. I don't remember having played any games with a strictly utopian setting though.
The world Valve depicts in their games seems liveable. Deus Ex' world seems alright for people that are well off economically, but ruthless for everyone else. I'd probably pick the world as is in Civilization V, at least there I've got the chance to be a part of a cultural or scientific empire and not end up in the middle of a warzone. The different continents could also make for some weird geography.

Super Mario World is the greatest game ever and I love how colorful everything is. Of course, that might be taken over by Super Mario Galaxy 2, but any good game from them is awesome. The ice, fire, giant worlds are always cool. I agree with most people SMB is the best video game series ever.

Probably gonna be some RPG world. Some people tend to think of RPGs as real life, because that's all they do. I wonder what it would be like if that were actually true.

You do realize that you're the one getting jacked, not the one doing the jacking, right?
I would live in the Escape Velocity Nova universe. Even if I'm just a normal person, I can work hard, save up for a shuttle, do some easy cargo delivery runs for a few months, buy a Thunderhead, and disable/loot Associated Trade ships for a living. If I wait to attack until they begin the lightspeed pre-jump procedure, they can't retaliate and are completely helpless. The best part is that the Federation actually encourages the disabling/destroying of Associated Trade ships, because they're moderately affiliated with pirates (though not enough for the Federation to take direct action against them).

fallout, deus ex, thief and the witcher have some of the most well-realized and "inhabitable" worlds i ever seen
i've mentioned before that i've had nightmares about being trapped on the von braun from system shock 2
also, imagine if purgatory were replaced by a never-ending cycle of day-z games

Somewhere nice. LittleBigPlanet, Arcanus Cella from ClaDun... Hell, I'd even settle for Thrillville.
