Anyway, I don't see the big deal. Part of her job is to be friendly and stuff. So what if she was dishonest about some trivial shit? I just would have thought to myself "hehe that was kinda funny" and forgotten the conversation with her. Also, this might be a stretch, but maybe she was confused when you said "I think it will be interesting how Volition expanded on that mechanic." and didn't realize that Volition was a company and thought you were talking about some part of the game or something. Maybe she coulda just plain blanked what you said there and pretended to follow. I mean imagine the amount of small talk about video games they must get.

I found a better job. Also I clearly stated that I did keep up to date with new game information while maintaining a job and full time school. Doesn't sound like lazy to me. You should read what I wrote again and choose your words better. For one: "ignorant" doesn't work because ignorant implies that you haven't had a chance to learn yet, not outright being stupid, which is perfectly acceptable to some employees that are just starting a new job. "Nostalgic" doesn't work either, because I wasn't having a pleasant reminiscent episode of the my time with Gamestop. I was simply explaining that Gamestop is not and should not be the exception to people that don't have unlimited esoteric knowledge of every single game.

I defy you to give me one sentence of my previous response that implied I said it was okay for people to be ignorant of their jobs rather than justifying that people don't know everything when it comes to catering to you.

Actually OP said the thread was about incompetency of GS employees. He used a female as an example, yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a woman-hating thread. I can't help but wonder how he would've phrased his rant should the employee have been male.

I'm not sure, but I'll stop before I piss you off. That whole work and school thing is starting again and if I don't get to sleep in 30 minutes its going to be dinged up cars and drooled on papers.

He probably just would have assigned a word akin to "fag" or "retard." TBH, I only knew one person who knew every game in his Gamestop. He is a manager, he knows games like the back of his palm, and he will probably never leave gamestop, along with breaking 30 Lbs in lifting power, getting a date, or being anything other than a spiteful recluse in his time off.

You're complaining (on the internet) because a girl didn't know what you were talking about and you launched into a tirade about how all women that work for Gamestop are clueless dumbshits. You never even replied to my first counter argument, because you know I'm right.

2. I do not wish for everyone to agree with what I say. But what you had to say was largely, well, fucking stupid and I called you out on that. Now your panties are in a bunch because YOU want people to agree with you and feel as though you have to be right, because you don't want to look bad after your arguments were pointed out as false. I buy games (PC games) digitally now and the few PS3 games I play I just order online so I never have any problems.

Not every employee in Gamespot is going to be The Next Captain N.

The people at my Gamestops are mostly competent.
Even if they weren't, it wouldn't really impact my experience there.
I don't really care what they have to say. The only thing that matters is that I get my game for what I consider a reasonable price.

I have seen much talk about the cons of Gamestop. Personalty I have never had a problem with my local stores, but I've read about one guy who has been to 3 Gamestops where they sell "Supposed" pre owned games for $90.00, another who saw a Gamestop Employee (MALE) who lies to a 6 year old girl and her mother that she needs to buy Pokemon Black 2 or White 2 to get Keldeo, Which I know is a lie, and one other who, despite returning an item with in the return policy, was completely refused a exchange and your complaining about some response from the cashier you disliked when having small talk?

I have literally never encountered this any time I have ever been to a Gamestop ever. The most I have seen a pre-owned game go for there was like $40. And I've been to a bunch of different Gamestops.
