Right now it's 100.2¢ a litre. The signs that display the prices literaly can't accomidate that many digits! I have to check at the pump to see what the price is. It's a bitch because I have to buy gas, my car can't run on angst and depression. The prices just keep rising. But I'm kinda glad they're so high. Because if they go any higher, it won't be worth buying. And people will convert to electric cars, which is good for the environment. Or mabye they won't, and we'll just work for gas money, to fuel our cars, to get to work...

I know you guys have it way cheaper. I saw some thing on the news where people from Halifax were driving into Maine for cheaper gas. It's about 2.50 a gallon.

Gas prices.... I remember when I could buy a half a tank of gass a pack of cigs and a coke all for 10 bucks. <sigh> Gas prices ussually go up in the summer time (in America at least) and don't come down till Labor day in Sept. because thats when people drive to go on vacation. Still Gas prices in Massachusetts are $2.10 right now it sucks. America has a crap load of fuel in reserve too but it's for emergencies and the military. It really sucks, but thats life. I really hope that this spurs people to use public transportation more, but public transportation outside of cites is nearly unheard of. Maybe thing will get better in that respect (crosses fingers). I worked in Ireland for a year and their public transit system was unbelivable: on time, affordable, and efficient. I hope that the raise in gas prices may effect the public transportation system in a better way. Well here's to hopin somthing good happens from the gross increase of gass prices.
.97¢ a litre where I live. I actually bought gas just before it jumped over a dollar, then it dropped a bit when I needed gas again. I got a car that's good on gas, so that's a plus.
BTW Americans, I'm talking litres, so you have to multiply by 3.785. So it's more like $3.67 Canadian for every gallon. Ok now convert that to American dollars and you get, $2.78 a gallon. Damn we are getting raped.

i live in a small town called mableton, right outside of atlanta georgia.

China scares me. Just wait until THEY hit the industrial revolution that America had in the 80's. Instead of a hundred million gas guzzeling cars, it'll be a BILLION.
Oh and eventually Chinese will surpass English to become the dominant world language. We'll all have to learn Chinese just to compete in the market, just as in today's world people need to learn English to do so.
Acctually most Chinese are content with public transportation, however as their economy grows thier appitite for consumption will too. So they will probbably get car crazy. Hopefully they will buy the hybrid cars or else it will suck... alot... either that or a new fuel source comes out. They already have fuel and technology that runs as good as fosil fuels and burns cleaner. Hydrogen powerd cars, cars that run on old fryalator oil, and of course solar power (even though with that you can only go 45 mph.). It is all still better than skyrocketing gas prices in a crazy economy.
We are as dependant on gas as the oldshool Irish on potatoes, and as cheetas on gazelles when there are other sources of energy readily available.
Yes, even wood, alchohol, and human/animal fat would make excellent sources of energy if we designed better methods of harnessing that energy.
The oil companies have a cold steel grip on our collective balls, and that's how they can rape us with these high gas prices. It's all about supply and demand. We're not willing to boycott their gasoline and they know it.

Read my last post its like over 80pence per litre over here in englan. A litre is less than a gallon (i think) and a dollar is 1.5 times a pound. So 81p is 0.81 pounds times that by 1 and a haalf is 1.62 dollars for a litre wich is more than it costs u for a gallon.

It's set to go up to about 92p/litre according to the radio this morning. Apparently £4.20/gallon.
