I expect this show to continue along its formulaic uninformative, brainless slant, satirizing every aspect of current events as it happens.
I stopped watching South Park years ago. However, I would like to see them take the piss out of the My Little Pony fandom, just because it'd cause huge amounts of drama, and it'd give me a good laugh.

Oh, did they make fun of something you like? Contrary to what dipshits like you think, the newer episodes are actually really good. I'm sick of this bullshit hipster mentality of "it's new so it sucks".

Oh man, it would make the season for me. MLP really is something that I would love to see South Park parody, and I will laugh my ass off if it happened.

I'm that lazy bastard who doesn't bother to take down his damn Christmas lights. I still have the fucking kriss-kringle hats from last year!
I can't wait.
I may be the only one, but I feel South Park continues to be great.

No, because I'm not a fan of anything. I love to watch South Park every once in a while because it's formulaic, uninformative, and brainless satire.
South Park became unwatchable years ago. I can't even tell people that I liked the show anymore, because it's embarrassing.

Only 10? Why? They used to do 14 per season.

The new episodes are not overall nearly as good as the old ones, though some of the new eps are still really good. The pop culture parodies are not nearly as clever as they used to be, like that episode with the youtube memes, or the jersey shore episode, its all just caricatures and exaggeration whereas before they made witty episodes like that the day after tomorrow parody, or something wall-mart this way comes. now a lot of the episodes just have a lot of basic level jokes in them that are so obvious that they arent funny. next they will probably make a twilight episode where they make fun of how the characters sparkle and all the 13 year old pewdiepie fanboys will find it hilarious.
an example of a good recent episode would be "insecurity" where they parodied the dark knight rises but they didnt shove it in your face.
Regrettably, they've become flacid and unenjoyable.
It's horrible, after season 8 i started sucking

It was so bad it turned this guy gay
I can't wait for the season premier. I wish all these people would quit their bitchin' about how "da new ones suck", that seems to be the general consensus on any show that's lasted over 5 years. Yes, the older ones are much different, but I wouldn't exactly say better. There just as good, but in a much different way.

They talk about it here:
“We just sort of made that up. And we are switching to 10 for the same reason. It just sounded like a good number, and we won’t break up the year so we can more easily do other stuff..."

Don't care much for the newer episodes. It seems like every time they write an episode they just ask themselves "what does the internet hate right now?" and then write an episode around it.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

It depends on the season, personally I felt that after 2004, the series would start the season slow before picking it up toward the end of first half or somewhere around the second.
Generally when the episodes doesn't cover the current events, they're really good like that wrestling episode and the one about WOW.

It's satiric humor and shitty jokes mixed with 'edgy' material to make the kids who watch it think they're cool for it. Sometimes I really don't know who their demographic is meant to be. Their messages on society probably aren't picked up by all the younger viewers, and do people who want messages about society want to get said messages from a cartoon with constant immature toilet humor? I don't think so.
But I'm still going to watch the premier, because I'm a hypocritical bastard.

Part of me agrees with you, but I also think they've shown some restraint. They could have easily made an episode about My Little Pony or something similar, but they didn't. It's not always about parodying what's popular for them.

Or they take some petty annoyance of their own and think everybody will relate to it.
Like that Zip-lining episode. It's like they went on a bad outing and decided to make an episode about it.

I couldn't relate to the zip-lining episode but it made me want to try it out.

Or the Pandemic episodes with the Peruvian Flute Bands.
They said in the commentary for the episode that they found out later that a lot of people had no idea what a Peruvian Flute Band even was.
