So, there's been a lot of stolen flash submissions as of late. This points to an issue that desperately needs correctly:
The lack of a flag flash option since the update. So far the Elite Guard Barracks has born the brunt of this, considering it is abusive to comment about stolen material elsewhere. It simply should be easier to safely report flash submissions that break the rules.
If enough people show their solidarity, we may be able to get this corrected.

It's better to just state that it's rule breaking in the EGB. I feel alright not having back the flash flagging system for now seeing as there were several times it was abused. Simply state what makes it rule breaking and then a portal mod such as me, ZJ, Zachary, Sectus, or Murray will give it a check and remove it if it proves to be rule breaking.

That's a great way to get around it, but it should still have a flag button.

They have other things they need to do with the site before they can even think about doing something like that.
You can't really expect them to drop whatever they're doing at the moment just to do that can you?
Though I would like to have that back.

I understand, but it's not merely a convenience... I have seen at least 10 stolen flash submissions in the last 24 hours and not everyone checks the EGB/is an active portal moderator.

I don't see how finding a forum thread that people barely know about is the best way. I didn't even know that EGB was for hunting abuse until somebody else explained it to me.
Anyway, the art portal has a flagging system, and that works fine. It gets abused, sure, but it is in no way crippling as you're suggesting. A mis-flagged submission simply gets dismissed.

I agree completely, and I wish flash had a system like the art portal.

Ditto. I haven't flagged anything in the portal since the flagging system was discontinued years ago. In the art portal it's a piece of cake. See something fishy? Hit the button. Even if the system is abused, there's a way to prevent system abuse: garbage whistles. The old system seemed perfect...
