I have too much on this site to leave behind, been almost 8 years now. Now as far as forum posting, I may go back into a hole not posting as much but I regret also not being a part of the community as much inside the forums. But if people shitpost like this, I may not post for a while. Its really not worth the stress or drama. I've got better things to do than to argue with people who can't even act like a decent being. I'm not speaking for the forums here, but different religions spread for different reasons. Roman Catholicism spreads because Catholics believe they are 'spreading the good news'. In fact, they justified the inquisition by saying that they were 'saving the souls' of the people that they were ripping apart.
I think it should be obvious enough that most people want other people to agree with them - not necessarily everyone, or all the time, but we like when other people agree with us because it makes us feel accepted, it makes us feel protected, it gives us common ground, and ultimately it's how we make friends. When too many people disagree with you, you can feel under threat, or alone, and I would guess that can be frustrating to people, so they start discussions trying to persuade other people of their position, and get frustrated when they can't.
So how is this post helpful?
Trolling is trolling. People aren't trying to be helpful here. Just about the only way to get people to be serious is if a regular posts a serious thread asking for help, and asks in a very specific way so as to deter people from picking them apart. Otherwise I think people on the forums are just grabbing for attention, although the more likable ones here are probably just trying to entertain each other.

Define shitpost. I see shitposts as posts that are utterly useless and contributes with nothing constructive. Bringing up this subject doesn't exactly lead anywhere, especially not in this section where lots of people love to shitpost. To them, this is a shitpost too, and I view this a shitpost because it's nothing but a tool to satisfy the need to complain.

Sure, I have to be honest and tell you I was a bit of a crybaby until recently. I complained and complained, I just loved to pour out my dissatisfactions as if it would be some kinda diarrhea, but if someone came with a reasonable argument, I at least acknowledged I was wrong... even if I was a bit frustrated. I just can't figure out why some people are so glued to their opinions.
