"Command and Conquer"

Many have played the series (some good ones in there, but EA kinda killed it), but I am talking about the new one. Although I am being optimistic in the sense that it has a chance to be good, I have that overwhelming feeling it's going to be shit when in the trailer I heard "We built the GUI and Key Setup to get into the high APM's" and "It's all about those APM'S".

It's become fucking starcraft.

The last one I played was Command and Conquer: Generals, which was rad as fuck. Not sure how much the series has changed since then.

It could be good... but ftp scares me, and I've always played those games for the single player. I just hope they don't find a way to make it worse than Tiberium Twilight. Still annoyed that they changed it from Generals 2 though.

EA is going to pull some bullshit and make this game cover all Universes. This is esentially the end of all Command and Conquer games because this will be either like a hub where you can play RA, Tib, or Generals in one game...or worse...They do a cross-genre mix up.
As cool as it seems...I never want to see the day where you can spend 20 bucks to have the Soviets and the GLA fight it out...

Hopefully it will be good, hopefully I'll have a better computer by then so I can give it a chance, hopefully it actually is f2p and not p2w.
Hopefully they won't go overboard with the Starcraft influence totally abandoning the C&C concept and making a total AoE/Starcraft clone like they did with Generals.

I like how in Yuri's Revenge Westwood made a subtle reference to "All Your Base" during the Soviet London mission back when it was actually fresh and relevant and then you've got EA 8 years later with Red Alert 3 going "WE NAMED THE SONG ALL YOUR BASE GET IT LOOOLLL".
