Is the internet something you take seriously and think no one should mess about on? Or do you think this IS the place to relax and joke about on?

Situational. If people are having a serious conversation and you're being a fuckwad, then you're in the wrong. Then again, if you're just dicking around and everyone else becomes serious, then they're taking things too seriously.

This seems like a valid view to take on it. Sometimes it just seems an entirely harmless joke can be taken the wrong way and people seems to get upset at next to nothing.

No. And I don't see why anyone would, could, or should take it seriously.

Or do you think this IS the place to relax and joke about on?

I think, like the real world, it all depends on the setting and the company you're in.

There's times and places on the internet to be serious, and there's times to relax.

Most of my week irl is super serious. The internet gives me a place to joke around and act stupid for a little bit. Yes, they'll be times when I do get serious on the internet, but I prefer to relax.

How do you prefer to act on the internet, OP?

The Internet has been serious business since about 2005. It shows no signs of lightening up.
