Good programs to make Trance music?

I'm new to this site, and I'm here because I wanted to get some pointers on how to make electronic music(I've just gotten interested in it but I'm really serious about making it).

What I need is a program, yes I've goggled it but I haven't gotten any good answers, but I figured that asking on this site would get me better results(seeing as how there's a lot of great electronic artists on here).

Programs, pl0x :)

The program is the last thing you need

Do you have some basis of music theory?
How music works?
What genre do you like?
What music do you listen to?
What is a bass?
What is the natural minor scale?
How do you make the notes sliding (portamento)?
Have you an idea of what is the mixing process?
And what about the mastering of a track/album/extended play?
Do you know acoustics?
Do you have a studio and good headphones/speakers/studio monitors?
Do you have a MIDI keyboard or some MIDI devices?
Have you ever played an instrument?

And I'm probably forgetting 90% of the other things

If you're interested in making electronic music only, then getting FL Studio (11) or Reason (7) is probably your best bet. That said, most if not all modern DAWs offer the tools needed for creating any kind of music. It's generally not a matter of what you use, but how you use it.
