Introduce "User" search option?

What does everyone think of having an extra search option at the top or the page to search for Newgrounds-users/ artists by name?

There have been a number of times where I have tried looking for a person on Newgrounds and have had a lot of difficulty because of not knowing the exact name to put into the URL. Sometimes I can find them by using keywords in the audio or movie or game searches, but it is inconvenient. Having a search option for users could be very convenient.

It could display a list of users in order of search relevance, and could show the user's display picture next to the username and even the user Info (description of themselves).

I haven't offered this idea to the Newgrounds developers yet. I wanted to read people's thoughts first. I would be interested to find out if people would find this useful.

It would be pretty useful. But the staff has more important stuff to get done before they start thinking about implementing stuff like that.

I usually put [name].newgrounds.com in the URL, though the drawback to that is that you have to spell the name correctly. A user search really should be implemented so that it's not so tedious.

Oh yeah, it did before the re-design, I believe. That was back before I made an account and was only coming to this site to download ParagonX9's and Kid2Will's music.

This redesign or the last one (as in the design prior to 07)? Because my memory of the previous design is a tad rusty since I'm REALLY used to this one.
Also the only music I've downloaded off of here was one song by Gunshy, stuff by Ben-Spurgin, and ArtificialFear's stuff.

The last one. I probably never even went on on NG before 2007. It may have just been the way they tagged it, though.

Ah okay. I spent the majority of my NG life (that needs to be the name of a magazine or something) during the last redesign. Though I was on here in 06.
I guess I must not have been paying enough attention to that stuff then, haha.
