I allmost drowned! 2004-05-31 14:41:58 Reply

Yup, earlier today. Me and two other friends of mine, were out on a kano(small boat). After a while with just going back and forth we decided to travel to another island over the fjord, but when we got half way we encountered some huge waves(kanos is only supposed to be used near the shore) so we decided to go back. Tobad for us that we had already gone over halfway over, because the boat had a couple of holes in it and with the help of the waves the boat got filled with water extremely quick.
I didn't notice it at the beginning because I sat on a whole bunch of swimming wests, but my friends had water to their bellybutton! And the boat were going lower and lower, until it got under. Then we all jumped off and started swimming, but one of my friends wouldn't leave the boat(the one who owned the boat) because it would cost a fortune(allmost) to buy a new one. Yes he is extremely stubborn and a bit dumb. So me and the other guy decided to turn back and help our friend, while we were swimming towards him two boats came by but none of them stopped. So we had to swim on, and when I got to the boat I noticed a couple of swimming suits a bit further back, so I swam out and got them. After I've taken one under my self I returned to my friend with the boat and we helped him to push it toward land. After ten minutes of struggeling we made it to the shore, and first then a boat came by who stopped(tobad we had gotten so close that we could walk to the beach).
But we all made it back with only a small cold, because it was very cold...

But it was fun and we're going out on the boat again tomorrow.

If there's a lot of spelling errors then blame the sea, I'm extremely tired after all the swimming.

If I had a dollar for everytime I got stranded at sea and everyone who passed me didn't help.....

Those people are fukin retarded, I hate it when they won't help someone who is about to swim to get to shore before the current takes them to far away from shore.

I know, they should be thrown in jail. Isn't it against the law to not help someone in need?

Drowning is like one of my worst fears. I would never want to go out that way. Especially having it happen slowly. Like my boat is sinking and I know I'm done for.. I just have to wait for it to finally plumit.

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

Yeah. its like the 'good citizens' law or something. But yeah u can get thrown in jail if it's serious, but I never heard of anyone actually being arrested for it.

It's also illegal to refuse someone a drink of water. If they are thirsty and come to you for a glass of water, and you refuse, you can be prosecuted on the grounds that the person wanting the water may be dying.

People can be prosecuted for a hell of a lot of things nowadays.

Perhaps, if the law sees it.

When you drown, you get starved of Oxygen, so your brain lapses into a kind of dream state. It sounds quite pleasant actually

Yeah, getting water in your lungs can't be the best way to die, feeling all that water around you while you're helpless, trying to get to the surface but it drives longer and longer away from you.
Not exactly pleasant.

Tobad someone from the police force didn't see them then, would have been fun to watch them getting dragged away.

Heh, getting arrested for not giving someone some water.
Guess some thives could use that method, just knock on the door and ask for some water. When they let them in you take them captive and rob the house.

You obviously haven't been underwater long enough to know what it feels like.

It's still something you wouldn't want to experience.

Yeah, I'm pretty glad that there weren't already any seats on that kano, as I said we used the vests as seats.
