Looking for music artist : advice.

Hi. Long time lurker here. I am a college student majoring in Game Design. I am making my first game(app) in which I am planning to price. I made couple other small things for recreational purposes but this one I am putting much more efforts to polish and to make worthy of at least a dollar in the market.

Since I am not really aware how artists find suitable work, I am clueless to how to find one either.

So I am posting my concern here where awesome talented artists are who might generously give me some advice on how to find one.

The core game mechanic is finished, still adding visual touches and animation here and there. However the general theme for the game is solidified so I am in need for music/sound effects that fit the game.

I am worried that the quality of my work is not enough to be a promising deal.
if such is the case, could you guys let me know that this is not enough for someone to invest time yet?
If such is the case then I will stop looking for an artist and try to polish it further before I look for artists again.
