I'll start off with the Soviet Experimental Object 279. It also had an auto fire-fighting systems, smoke laying equipment and combat compartment heating/cooling system. Amenities not featured in most Soviet Tanks, then again, this wasn't most Soviet Tanks.

I never got to play that one, but it appears that there were only three tanks to choose from? Global Assault had that one tank that could do a barrel roll, the hovertank, the flamethrower tank, and the laser tank. Did the first one have better controls or something?

I never played global assault. But it did look uglier in my opinion.

Yeah I was going to say that the first actually does look better. The looks of Global Assault never made it less fun to play 4-player though. Could you self-destruct in the first? Being able to self-destruct right before someone killed you was hilarious in GA, and there was even a suicide tank which wasn't very useful but was hilarious. The 4-player was so hilariously awesome to play with friends, I don't think I ever played the campaign

Yes you were able to self destruct in the first game. But the first game was fairly easy to me.
If cooperative was optional in the first game it would've made the game much easier in campaign.

I would love to see a new Battletanx with almost identical gameplay but updated graphics and collisions. Yes, I know of World of Tanks, somehow it's just not the same.

World of tanks is a load of crap compared to Battletanx.
Maybe they could put battletanx on the 3DS as they did with other N64 games.
