www.flashkit.com
www.altavista.com/audio
www.thewavresource.com
www.a1freesounds.com (or is it www.a1freesoundeffects.com ?)
the best one is www.soundfx.com, just sign up there and you can find lots of sounds easy
Thanks guys. Some of those sites are familiar to me. But none have the ability to preview the FX from the same page as Flashkit.com has.
However, I also looked at www.sound-effects-library.com who have detailed decriptions of their sounds. I was looking for a window opeing effect, I got "Windows - Wood Window - Internal - Close Up - Slide Up Or Down In Wood Rails", which was exactly what I was looking for. And it sounds real too.
Hint: Save it to disk, and edit out the parts you don't need with Cool Edit or somesuch.
dont listen to all of them, go to soundsnap you dont even have to sign up or anything and its got tons of sounds
Suck it.
Soundsnap.com is indeed the best one. No signing up, fast Dl-speed, excellent search and preview.
