I am new to this and would like to learn to make movies and games and was wondering if I could get some suggestions on where to start and where to learn how to do everything.

I'm learning myself and I am a newbie.
I am learning animation from real life, physics and math (jumps look 80% nicer when you know a bit about physics), video games and cartoons. Though I don't like admitting it, anime as well. I prefer using a more western style but I go "anime style" for metallic objects. If your tweening, easing can be really amazing. Use it, abuse it, love it.

Games are not easy to produce, you need programming skills, art and animation. there are few programs that allows you to create your own game without programming skills but you need coding logic, like gamefactory2 and construct2.

So I suggest getting adobe flash and start making movies first. there are tons of tutorials out there all you need to do is to search and ask.

this might help you decide.

Those things can't be done by just wanting it, you need passion. so good luck.

I think the most important thing to start is having real passion for what you do, creating a world, telling a story, whatever

Then when you know you would do anything to tell that story, start learning, step by step.
I prefer, like the fella ↑ said, learning about phisics and, the most important thing to an animator/drawer, LOOKING. Practice looking! look everything (specially human body on animation films an reality) and watch his behaviour!

sorry for my crappy english, i hope you can do something nice in the future :) bye

Read my comic here ,You may like it....The first pages are shit btw
