Is it just me or does this sound analogous to playing Flight Simulator 2001 and crashing into the Twin Towers in remembrance? :-/

As a side note, I wanted to add that I agree with everything seybdizzle said. Also, to Evening Shift, I think it's important to note, that although the United States did not go to war before Pearl Harbor, it supplied massive amounts of ammunition and equipment to its allies. And, as seybdizzle noted, there's speculation that FDR even allowed it to happen with foreknowledge (I doubt he actually planned it).

I don't think D-Day is something to be celebrated. Yes, I will acknowlege the many soldiers who died on the beaches of Normandy 60 years ago, and I will make sure to watch the History Channel's innevitable coverage of it, but I refuse to celebrate the deaths of so many people. I will be doing what I normally do every day-- sitting around, playing games, and eating things. I'll just keep in mind that 60 years ago, an beachload of people died in a terrible war.

Ah.. the 60th D-Day anniverserey. The day Feltmarskalk Rommel realized the war could not be won.
We owe a great thanx to all the brave soldiers who gave their life for the liberation from the nazi rule of europe.
Norway did send in some pilots, but as there were spotted not a single enemy aircraft, it was pretty much useless. However, the moral boost of seeing only Allied aircrafts must have made a slight difference.

What terrifies me is that nazi germany could have won IF they didn't attack sovjet russia. But the nazis hated the communists so it pretty much had to come. A peace threaty between teh two nations.. shrugs.
History takes a lot of fun twists and turns.

Listen, If it wasn't for those brave men who valliantly sacrificed themselves for the greater good on 6th June 1944, you'd probably be speaking German as your first language. Show some respect for you owe it to them.

It's very sad that President Reagan died yesterday. Although he was old and couldnt remember his wife its sad to see him go. D-Day isn't exciting as you put it out to be. Many people died on that day, ever seen saving Private Ryan??? I think we should have a moment of silence for Pres. Reagan and the soldiers who died on D-Day

FOR THE LAST TIME!!! D-DAY ANNIVERSERY is to celebrate the LIVES and COURAGE and GOOD DEEDS of the soldiers who LIBERATED EUROPE!!! It is NOT to celebrate their DEATHS!!!

Maybe YOU think Negatively! But I DON'T see ANYTHING wrong with praising the people who liberated Europe!! THEY deserve rememberance and their VICTORY over the Evil Nazis SHOULD BE CELEBRATED!!! without them, the world may be a VERY different place!!!

YES, you can call D-DAY ANNIVERSERY a day to celebrate AND a day of rememberance!!! It IS to celebrate the VALOR and LIVES of the soldiers who FOUGHT to liberate Europe! It's also to celebrate the VICTORYs of the ALLIIES over the NAZIS!!! on that day!!! Basicly, It's to celebrate the invasion that liberated Europe and eventually WON the war for the ALLIES!!! It's ALSO to remember and moun the sacrifices it took to win the invasion!!!

So if YOU can't understand that, then YOUR probably the one who's the "Biggest dumbest fucking moron alive!!!"

History takes a lot of fun twists and turns.

The Nazis could've actually won the war also, IF they never declared war on the U.S. after they've been attacked at Pearl Harbor! had the Germans not declared war, the U.S. would've ONLY been at war with Japan and NOT with both Japan and Germany because it was the Japanese who attacked Pearl Harbor! and not Germany even though the Nazis were a THREAT to the U.S. and the Free World! The Nazis could've VERY WELL achieved TOTAL Domination of Europe! since the Germans would've had to only focus on fighting the Eastern Front(Russia) Because the Nazis had the English bogged down and would've eventually taken CONTROL of Britain! Fortunitly, Britain was able to hold out a little longer with a formidable air force! even though the English were being bombed daily by German aircraft. OR the Nazis could've taken Complete control of Europe HAD they NOT attacked Soviet Russia OR declare war with the U.S!!! had the Nazis done that THEY would've been alot closer to achieving World Domination! So let's ALL be THANKFUL that history turned out the way it did!!! with Nazi Germany's Blunders, the world has had a better future! and Russia couldn't have actually won the war by themselves as they would've struggled to win any German territory since the Germans could focus ALL of their war effort on Russia! Since the U.S. responded to Germany's challenge the Germans had to fight on 2 main Fronts! (Allied invaded France and Russia)! thanks to D-day! it made it a whole lot easier for the soviets to take German territory! Causing in the COLLAPSE of NAZI GERMANY!!! The Allies and the Soviets choked Germany's war effort as the Germans could not win if they had to fight on 2 different fronts! That is WHY D-day SHOULD be celebrated AS the Invasion the WON WWII!!! We should ALSO mourn and remember the sacifices it took to win the D-day invasion.

OMG I now madly wish I had a network adapter for my PS2, because I have both MOH games (cept there may be a third) and it would be cool to oin in, or I could buy the game for computer, that would be easier..... maybe we could reenact Pearl Harbor in December, I thought that level was cooler anyway, getting in the boat and using the turret and all, I shoot down at least 40 planes each time, its so freakin fun.

Who CARES about the enemy! They're fighting on the wrong side! the side of evil! So quit your whining! Boohoo! D-day is celebrated and remembered because we were victorious and the lives and courage of the troops are celebrated! Their deaths are mourned and remembered but their victorys are celebrated! So why can't you see that?
