The NG database is now UTF-8, the way most modern databases are. Hopefully this was a good idea. Today's update addresses long-standing issues with special / foreign characters not being supported on NG. If you posted special characters in the past week (when we had a bandaid), those will now be broken again. Moving forward, they should work.

Hopefully people will get the novelty out of their system and it will just be like most sites that support unicode. It will be appreciated long-term when submission titles don't get jacked and copy-pasted text doesn't get garbled.

Now, we just need an edit button and increased file size limits when attaching to our posts and this place will be cool.
Is it just me or is the text limit on audios author comments even smaller now, i constantly have to cut away a LOT of text for it to fit.. bah..
And i used to add storyline to my music, go figure, this is just for opera texts..
