There is a lot of debating between Athiests and Christians on whether there is the existance of a god or deity. But one religious group that never joins this debate is Satanists. Why is that? Don't people that worship Satan have a point to argue? Is because they feel their argument would be too stronly refuted? Is it a popularity issue?
What gives?

Satanists aren't generally the type of people to argue on internet forums, since most of them seem to think that their beliefs are highly esoteric. They only discuss their beliefs in dark rooms lit faintly by black "evil scent" candles.

They don't worship Satan, or even believe in Satan.

There really isn't any debate, people just believe what they want and pretend to have an interest in others beliefs.

How about we also hear from Spaghetti monster followers, Jews, Muslims, taoists, shinto-buddhists, buddhists, hindu, sikhs, djinjists, ahmisa followers, ayyavazahi followers, triple goddess followers, and slavic neopagans about the subject?
Satanists are mostly just edgy low rate hipsters, so noone cares about satanists.

Yes true Satanists have high priest and priestesses who remain loyal to Lucifer. The highest ranks are said to receive messages directly from him and other demonic forces.
To OP:
Satanist philosophy in their clergy does not demand or encourage converts. Followers are scouted by select witches or warlocks depending on the candidate.

There are atheist Satanists and there are theist Satanists. Most of the former generally seem to be mere followers of Anton LaVey whereas theistic Satanists seem more likely to develop their own beliefs through study, so when I hear the word "Satanist" I think of people who actually believe in Satan.

Depends on what Satanist philosophy you are refering to. Theistic Satanism is the actual belief of the existance of Satan as a deity and a figure to worship.

Religious debates usually turn into flame wars (in this forum) which gets them locked before too many people get banned.

And probably also because Theistic Satanism implies a belief in the Christian God anyway.

It does turn into flame wars. I believe in the Norse gods so I am disliked by both sides.

Because any argument a Satanist puts forth in a public debate on religion gets thrown away by rest, generally speaking.
Knock on a christian family's door and say you're their to spread Satanism. They're not going to treat you like a regular missionary.
It's probably because most religions have a "devil" or a "Satan" that represents the evil of their believes, and they just have in their head that "That is evil" and look at them as an enemy of their faith.
Who knows?

Ha
See what I mean though?
There are demons, devils, etc that a lot of big religions use to represent evil and such. I guess in a lot of people's heads they see Satanists as people on the side of, what to them, are evil enemies.

OP's question was "Why don't they take part in religious debates?" and your analysis doesn't answer the question. Even if they are viewed as evil, why is it that we don't see them debatting more like say, on internet forums...

That's probably up to each individual person, no?
Look at all the stuff I typed up a minute ago. Being a Satanist would be scary if you ever aired your views in public. There's, like, a universal hatred for them, it seems. Even with internet anonymity, who wants to just garner hatred directed directly at them?
And I'd imagine if someone on Newgrounds upright announced they were a Satanist, we'd dismiss them as trying to be "edgy" and ridicule them.

There are actually some wonky Satanist forums out there on the internet, so I think any of the Satanists who would argue on internet forums only go as far as their own forums which goes back to the esoteric nature of their beliefs that I mentioned earlier.

Well he is the personification of evil and temptation according to the Bible, so I'm not surprised when people here the word Satan that's what they immediately think of.

Australia, they are the belief of my ancestors and I pick it because it fit my ideas of virtue and honour.

Pretty much. But think of this:
To some Satanists, if you trash talk Satan, the devi, demons/whatever, you could very well be insulting them just as much as you'd be insulted if they started declaring everything you believe in to be wrong and evil.
Fun stuff to think about.

That's how all people that get offended when people insult their religion feel. If atheists trash talk God, you could very well be insulting them just as much as you'd be insulted as if they started declaring everything you to believe in to be false.
I don't believe in a god

Religious satanists = / = LaVeyan satanists. LaVeyan satanism is atheistic. Satan is a symbol, not a deity.

I don't believe in a god
I don't really care, to be honest. My general stance on religion, although I don't believe in one myself, as long as its followers don't harm people and it promotes good, I have no problem with it. Although, I do find the concept of Satanism a bit iffy, and all the stereotypes I know about them aren't exactly flattering. I'm sure there are good satanists and bad satanists just as there are good muslims and bad muslims.

I tried to listen to various Satanist beliefs and up to a certain point they stop making sense. and it seems more logical to follow Jesus
