I mean seriously guys, it's going to be a perfect game. Valve is one of the best game companies of all time. Why wouldn't you trust Valve after the epic humor found in Portal 2? or Steam porting themselves to Linux? or Gabe Newell saying he's a brony?

on top of that note I think that when HL3 comes out it may have the epic humor found in Portal 2 :).

I certainly hope they learn from past long-term developers' mistakes and try to work hard at making it as awesome as HL2 was when it first came out.

Yes, because it takes them this long to make something that they should've done years ago with the cliffhanger from Half-Life 2. Don't try to justify this long of a wait for HL3, because history has told us that it won't live up to the hype with this long of a hiatus between games.

If anything, Valve is doing a bigger disservice to gamers by teasing us with HL3, than anything that Activision does with the Call of Duty franchise.

To everyone who claims there are no excuses for Half-Life 3's long development cycle, let me point something out; the people at Valve have incredibly high standards for games. Gabe Newell himself has said that if the game they're development isn't amazing, they can it and start over from scratch. This is why their games tend to take so long to make.
