First day buy. Fortunately, I'm getting a lot of hours this month, so I don't have to feel so bad spending $150 on her.
Can't wait.

You do realise there's a preview video on the bottom of that page that dj-jo linked? There are samples of Miku singing..... in proper English.

I got her already :)
But I'm having problems :(
When I load Piapro Studio, I place notes down, and when I edit the word, I can't see any text so I can't change "la" to anything else :O

Odd, I'm not having any such issue... my biggest problem was that it took me forever to figure out why I wasn't hearing any playback in FL Studio... turns out it's because when Piapro Studio is being used as a VST, it syncs to the overall song, and will come in at the measure specified, and not work like a pattern you just drop in.
Also noticed that Studio One did not come with Miku, I had to download it separately... I didn't get a chance to mess with that yet though, cause it was like 6am by the time I got it downloaded.

Ah alright that's interesting, but I couldn't get it to work with my FL Studios though lol
So I ended up getting Studio One and using it there
That might have something to do with the glitch. But I already got used to it haha
You can't see what you're typing, but you are still typing. All I got to do is know what phonetic type in lol
yeah, they give you a serial when you get Miku then you download it from the Studio One site.
It's an interesting DAW, but I'd rather stick with my FL Studios
Oh well, I'm looking forward to all the new Miku English stuff though :)

I'd like to give Studio One a chance, it seems like it'd be decent... but I'm finding it hard to get into when the version that comes with Miku doesn't even allow VST usage... and to my knowledge, will not allow MP3 exporting... Which is a big deal for me... possibly a complete deal breaker... I don't wanna dish out another $100 just to get a working version to find out I don't like it as much as FL Studio.
But yeah, I'm looking forward to what people are going to come up with.

No no... what I'm saying is the version you get with Miku is only the "Artist" version... Which seems to be pretty limited in functionality. What I'm saying is I would have a hard time judging it based on this version because I can't even use my VSTs with it, as that function is limited to Producer and Professional. So, really... if I wanted to get a feel for it with my own instruments, I would need to buy the Artist to Producer upgrade.. which is approx. $100.
I really would like to give it a shot, but not at the cost of $100 for an upgrade to Producer... because I can't really get all that great a feel for it if I'm not allowed to use my own instruments with it... and I really don't like most of the sounds that came with it (Of what I've listened to so far that is).

Have you been using Piapro Studio with your DAW? I've been trying to use it with FL Studio, but she keeps cutting in and out, making it a real pain in the ass to use. Finally gave up after like 2 hours last night trying to figure out how to fix it and decided to just mux the vox on later from V3.

Nah, I've been using Piapro Studio with Studio one so I would make the lyrics then export to wav and then mix it in FL Studios.
I tried to get Piapro to work with FL Studios and it wasn't working out well, so I just gave up and used Studio One.
It sucks because I was really looking forward to using Piapro with FL :(

Well... I'm not the only one then... Bummer, cause I was really looking forward to using it with FL Studio as well.
But yeah, guess I'll be doing it the old fashioned way, I dunno if I'll go as far as using it in Studio One, I'll probably just do my vocals in Vocaloid3, since I own the full version anyways... But I dunno, I do like how slick the Piapro interface is... So I may at least give it a try with Studio One.

Really, Hatsune Miku (Along with all other vocaloids) is nothing more than a piece of software containing sampled vocals... But still, this piece of software is characterized as a female, has a female name, a female image, and even performs "live" concerts... So it feels weird calling Hatsune Miku "it" when she has such a presence... regardless of the fact that she is nothing more than a fabrication of media.
Also, there are plenty of male vocaloids out there as well.
Not to mention all vocaloids sample real human beings to achieve speech. That's why English Miku has a heavy Japanese accent... is because the woman who did her Japanese voice bank learned english just to do her English voice bank.

I had the same issue, and eventually got it working. The problem was that I had the Windows text size set to 125% (medium). Try changing it to 100% (smaller): Right-click on your desktop, select Screen Resolution, click the link near the bottom "Make text and other items larger or smaller", choose Smaller 100%, and click Apply. It will force you to log out of Windows and back in for the changes to take effect. Hope that helps!
