We all like to blame McDonald's and Burger King and KFC for the reason why the U.S. is suffering from a serious issue with obesity. However, when do you find that it's appropriate to eat fast food, and how often?
From the movie Super Size Me, director Morgan Spurlock phoned one hundred random nutritionists around the world and asked their opinions on fast food. 95% agree that fast food contributes to obesity, 45% say never eat fast food at all, 28% say that once a week to once a month is enough, and 2% of the nutritionists say that fast food should be eaten once a week.
An anonymous nutritionist says that we should only eat fast food if we were bombed by anthrax and there was no other food available. Yes, she was really that passionate about her negative opinions against eating fast food, but if you feel that you could agree with her notion, you can take her word for it.
How often do you eat fast food, and when do you start to develop a routine of eating too much fast food? Is it too much to eat it twice a week, once a week, or even once a month? Of course we'll also get different opinions from vegetarians and vegans than carnivores, so I'm all ears.
I prefer not to eat fast food because it's absolutely horrible for you. I prefer to cook my own meals.

Plus homemade meals are much tastier anyways. I'm sorry but nothing beats eggs with lots of veggies mixed inside. Green red or yellow peppers, onion, spinach, and ect. Tasty and healthy if you do it right. On a side note, meat that's all natural, free range, with no antibiotics is very very tasty. Happy animal, happy flavors.

Yes but it's better than eating ramen and hot pockets every day, I tried that for a few weeks and I felt absolutely horrible. When I started cooking my own food I started feeling better.

Some people use more egg white in the combination to lower their cholesterol intake and still keep it tasty.

I eat it whenever I want. It doesn't matter what you eat nearly as much as nutritionists (pseudo-scientists) tell you.
What matters is caloric intake vs. basal metabolic rate + exercise.
If you burn equal to or more calories than you eat, you will not gain weight.
I eat tons of fast food. Had a huge KFC meal today and I weigh roughly 10'ish pounds more than I did in high school. And most of that is due to intentional bulking/lifting. And my high school weight was considered by most to be horrifically skinny.

I don't eat it often, but I do eat a lot of unhealthy microwave meals. I've been cooking more often lately, though.
There's nothing wrong with having fast food every two weeks or so.

Ugh. Fast food. Noooo thank you. If I'm taking out and want to eat unhealthy, I'll go to a pizza place or something. At least it still qualifies as edible.

I'd say it depends on your body weight.
If your doctor already said to cut down, just maybe stop eating fast food for a while (self control).
If your still fine, probably just 2 times a week is fine.
Or you can more than that just burn the calories.

I eat fast food about once a week and I'm in perfect shape.
I don't really eat fast food much anymore. I only have it like once every 2-3 weeks now as opposed to once every week like I used to. I mostly eat disgusting home made meals now. Might not be the best, but I guess it's healthier.

As far as I'm aware, in the UK, they use vegetable oil, because it is way cheaper than animal fat.

Much like anything else in life, excessive amounts of fast food is definitely not good for anyone's health, especially if they have a sedentary lifestyle. However, all the psuedo-science in the world will not change many people's dietary habits, {unless they have serious health problems} and people who bitch about fast food being XYZ are obviously being disingenious or have a self-righteous streak that needs to be taken down a peg or two.
I would like to know when did convience became a bad thing now, fast food isn't meant to be fucking gourmet, it was designed for convience, and for it to taste good, unless your some uppity bastard. People need to start growing up and realize that fast food is hear to stay, it isn't as bad as these psuedo-scienctist quacks want you to think, and you have a choice whether or not you want to eat there.

Fast food is fine if you bother to exercise. When I eat fast food I walk home afterward. And it's not like it's the only thing that ever contributed to obesity. I mean, regular sit-down restaurants serve fattening foods. And the grocery stores where you can buy stuff for the homemade meals food nazis love so much still sell bad foods. Hot Pockets, frozen dinners, candy, soda could all be part of that "homemade meal".
