Not to rain on this parade, but there will still be people who will hate one another, even in this age of technology and a small world, and so on. I highly doubt that Israelis and Palestinians, {much less the Muslims as a whole} or Pakistan and India would ever make permanent peace with each other, much less the Hatfields and McCoys who been at each others throats the last 100 years or so in West Virginia and Kentucky.
I'll say it before and I'll say it again, all men are not created equal, in sheer scope of ability and looks. Now the vast majority of people are more than willing to accept, {or at least tolerate} different beliefs for the common good, but there are some who do the complete opposite and hate on people because of skin color, religion and what have you, mostly for petty reasons.
Religion is just an excuse... it's not the cause of the war.
The real cause is culture clash... they just use religion as an excuse to back up their points of view.
This part is true. Religion is simply a crutch for extremists to use to justify their actions and recruit others to the cause, and this has been going on for a very long time. When you have a big uniting factor within a country or region and need something that people hate in the crosshairs, religion is an extremely effective propaganda tool.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Let's just kill the terroras, herp derp.

It's obvious, They hate my freedoms.
You're a brainwashed idiot if you actually think terrorism is a big threat to the world. It's more of an excuse for the US government to police the world and to spy on their own people.

It is a serious problem in certain areas, especially the middle east. The threat of terrorist attacks on the United States may be greatly exaggerated to garner support for preemptive military 'intervention', but extremism is most certainly a danger to innocent lives overseas. Consider instead a premise that the prosperous, halcyon Western world has a responsibility to act as a mediator and improve the quality of life for the less fortunate.
Islamic Terrorists are basically the equivalent of the KKK, American Nazi party, Westboro Bapist, and every other radical group we have in the US. All three of those groups fight in the name of Jesus. (OUR LAWD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST HALLELUJAH AYYYMEN.) They're the crazies that give the entire religion a bad name. Not every Muslim wants to kill people, just like not every Christian or Jew or Atheist (etc) wants to kill people. Ending the Muslim religion is stupid, impossible, and useless, not to mention completely evil.

Probably, but I think the conflicts will get smaller and smaller until they're almost non-existent. The proof, to me, is all around us.
Not to get off topic but the other day I was talking to a friend about racism. They claimed that it was a huge problem in society but I disagreed. To me, it may seem like it's a big deal, but when you compare current every day racism to racism 50 or 100 years ago you can clearly see how quickly things have improved. The same idea applies to war.
We've gone from the Civil War and WWII to smaller battles like the War on Terror. Don't get me wrong, the War on Terror is still awful, but clearly we, as a group of people, aren't as willing to rush out into no-mans-land and kill each other by the thousands as we use to be. We're a bit more reserved with our violence, and I don't see any reason for this trend to end. Another hundred years or 3 and who knows... maybe war really is a thing of the past.
No way to know for sure... it's just how I see it. I see a constant decline not an increase. I'm also optimistic and I have a lot of faith in people as a whole.
John Rambo is my hero
Not another opinion war again.
Perception is a problem Humans have yet to break out from themselves, and it is often a problem when perceiving religion as a bad thing. There is not a single organisation, corporation, government or even a religion in any regard would I hate just because one or more individuals within said entity decided to declare war against another. That is the problem of the individual, not the group.
It's like telling the US government to stop cutting food stamps, or stop the war on sex. They won't listen to you, and despite the number of protests in the US things still change. Maybe for the better. Maybe for the worse.
However, there is no need to waste your energy against a group or religion, because more often than not 90% of the people involved actually hate the ideas of their superiors, just look at your own country.
While Muslims aren't exactly the best religion in the world, they are not the worst either. Everyone has their ups and downs, regardless of what path you choose to follow. As for me, I am spiritual and I am not religious, but to say that you would want to commit genocide to a particular group is arrogance in and of itself.
If you want to survive in this world, you will co-operate, just be glad you do not live in a country that kills humans for absolutely no reason whatsoever - I think I may have to point at particular police forces in America actually, because their attitudes are disgraceful and a threat to human nature.
If your seeking local problems just look at the Police, esp. in America.
As for ending terrorist threat, it would mean ensuring that government is perceived as a business and not a political organisation, and protesting is more like boycotts - i.e. buying from independent retailers that are outside of the major companies, good luck finding them. Terrorism is a political threat, not a civil threat - terrorism exists because of religious perception toward government, and honestly I really do not blame them, America has a poor government structure and it's beginning to show, esp. with the problems surrounding privacy and the NSA recently.
America is inviting civil war again, when will they ever learn? However, don't let that happen. Government's won't be doing this otherwise.
Your government is after you, and they will come up with any excuse to kill you - they know there are too many people on the planet, and they are keeping the rich rich because in the eyes of the government they are worth more than the lives of those in poverty or the Lower or Middle class. Again, a perception problem.
If any of us are to succeed, we not need to ignore the consequences, but to ignore the corruption and the corrupted. Attention is exactly what Tea Party Republicans want, so don't give them it. The same with any mad man - they are not be trusted.
People can continue to argue that war is natural, but at the end of the day no war is going to give us any praise or even additional resources at that. You spend resources to gain resources, and the same applies in a war on a more extreme level, and more often than the resources you spend become a loss as you gain less from the atrocities of war. No one is a winner, you can claim victory over territory but that is all you are getting. Aggression invites fear, which invites doubt, don't ever let it get to you - that's what governments want.
Don't ever let your perception fool you, either. The last thing you want is a pile of bad reputation spelt all over you because someone else's perception is different to yours. People make mistakes - to ensure history does not repeat itself, we must teach our eventual self-taught mistakes to our children and teach them to be better than us. Children are our future, and we need to protect them more than any other Human on the planet.
in washington or in the middle east? oh i made a funny! 8D
