Hi there, just curious, what is the cost of living in your vicinity.

$1000 for a house rental? $2000 for a house rental?

$600 for a trailer? $1200 for a trailer?

$200 00 for a house? $300 000 for a house? $400 000?

I live in an 'oil-district' and it's a small city so there are very few new developments yet the city is booming. They're trying to charge $2200 to rent a house. Formerly it was $1350.

Cost of living is way cheaper where I live (the south). I bought a house. It's 2600 square feet (4 bedroom, 2 bath) and it's new, 2008 construction. I only pay $1292.00 a month for it.

Buuuut.......since cost of living is lower, so is everything else. We don't get paid crap. I make about 40K a year, with my bachelors degree. Same job and same degree in New England, I'd be making 60 or 70K a year.

Aint gotta pay shit when it comes to house payments.

Hundred % our land, while we built the house ourselves. Only thing we pay for is the electric, water ect.

I'm not sure about houses here. I myself live in an apartment that's part of some social housing plan. Therefore the rent is kept fairly low at €360 per month or so. Obviously the building is old and the apartment is quite small, but it's great for university students like me and my girlfriend.
