Why are there so many ads now?

In genuinely curious, last time I was here a few years ago there weren't nearly as many ads. Is newgrounds in financial trouble?

Is it really that much of an issue for you? I have no problem dealing with the ads because I believe in this site. Besides, there's always Ad Block if it's a huge problem for you.

Many ads? There's one banner up and sometimes link to another site in layout. Also, medium square on the side in submission view page.

I don't even look at them so they never bother me. If you use adblock on this site you're scum.

The thing is I shouldn't have to use Adblock. Newgrounds had a perfect game going and they freaking blew it.

I haven't had anything untoward happen to my personal information, besides bandwidth is fucking expensive and hosting a site as large as this one requires a dedicated staff, they didn't force us to pay the supporter fee you can still enjoy all the artwork games and films you want, stop being such a hipster and deal with the ads. It's not all about money either most people that I talked to paid because they love this site and want to see it carry on.
