Hi there. I know, I know, another art thread. BUT, the reason I made this thread is so that I can get better, I know I have been slacking lately, and that is why, I figured if I try to make at least one drawing to submit here a week that is a good challenge.
I really want you guys to help critic and tell me what I may be doing wrong in your opinions. I really want to end up being a decent animator eventually, and I know that drawing ability is basically what you need, and i know I need to improve.
Anyways, For my first drawing, it will "hopefully" be a scene in my next animation when I am done. thoughts, opinions?
There is not enough information to explain what is about to happen in the scene or what the purpose of the tent is for.
Either it be a merchant or a performer that would come out to introduce themselves they would probably have a sign and decorations outside to draw in an audience. Currently it appears that nothing is going to happen as the tent is closed giving an unwelcoming feeling.
I see what you mean. Well it was a performer tent, I will try to expand on it a little more to make it easier to interpret though.
Here is a new drawing/scene from another animation I may or may not finish.
(I colored the first frame and shaded it and stuff just to get a feel of what the final look of the piece will be.)
Thoughts, opinions, criticisms?
You should really work on trying to stay inside the lines. The fish picture was a little better in that aspect than the tent picture, but there are still a lot of sloppily colored areas.

Thanks for the feedback.
I am not going to lie, I know I need to work on my coloring skills, I don't know why, but I just dislike using colors, but know that I should, so I am still trying to get used to it.
(as for staying in lines for the fish one, well... I used the pencil animation program to draw and color that one, sometimes it doesn't like to fill in the lines correctly and I am trying my hardest to figure what I am doing wrong in that sense.)
I let this die for a bit due to being busy. Also I have been trying to improve a little, and doing some fun little challenges.
