He's giving out the lamest perks ever.
For 1'500 dollars you can tour his studio! But you have to pay for your own travel and lodgings.

It seems to be all the rage lately. AVGN, Ashens and now Walker. And the real problem I have with it is what's the big deal? So you contributed to some over-hyped small studio film project. If they were good enough wouldn't a real production company help them?
And what with Linkara coming out as a major league douche bag, I think channel awesome might want to rethink their strategy. Granted, they do have a large enough fan base to probably do whatever they want, but in the long run, these so-called internet celebrities are no more than televangelists trying to get enough money to convince people they're building a rocket to go to the chosen planet.

You know what I hate? When people who are really passionate about filmaking and all build up a large fanbase by making their videos, and for years produce quality material. Then they have the GALL to want to move on to bigger projects that they can't completely fund themselves, so they ask the fans who they've been supplying entertainment to for years to help out. It really makes me sick when greedy assholes just want to ruin my fucking day because they're asking fans to help them out with a big production that they want to do. Jesus fucking christ, Doug Walker, HOW could you ask me to help fund something for Brad Jones and the rest of Channel Awesome? How evil are you?
I also hated it when Joe Murray created a kickstarter for a show he wanted to do. What the fuck? And when Waterman wanted one for his movie, and all of these guys who did kickstarters for their projects! What's wrong with the world?

You can say that again, I hope he'll review Superman 3 one day, that movie started the decline of the movie franchise (thankfully not the comicbooks although the period between Superman's death and revival did its best to do so). I personally enjoy his commercial reviews a lot more than his movie reviews though.

I love his videos, and I find him to be very entertaining, and often quite insightful, when it comes to reviewing things.
But yeah, those prizes are absolute bullshit, and I think even he knows it. There's no excuse for that kind of greed, even if it's difficult to make money with what he does, he can't just fuck over his fans like that.

Yeah, any fundraiser has things that are waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced.
I just wish instead of having 10 stupid sketches with some stupid crew on his show. He could instead just do something similar to his old reviews, where it was just him talking about something that he's NOSTALGIC about, in only 10 minutes or less.
