3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsHey guys. I'm still kind of new to the Newgrounds scene, and I'm not 100% sure if this is the right forum to ask for advice, but, here goes.
So, I'm fairly new to the animation game - I started December of last year and in the past 8 months I've put out 5 cartoons. However, ever since about.. I dunno, my third cartoon, I've found myself coming up with new ideas and starting new projects in the middle of other projects. It was fine when I was working on maybe two things at once, switching between as I felt I needed to. But lately, things have been getting a little out of hand.
As of right now, I'm juggling four projects. My project mortality rate is at an all-time high - I've scrapped more than double what I've released, which is fine. I've learned that it's a totally normal thing, but I'm wondering if my project juggling has anything to do with it.
When I work on just one thing at a time, I find myself getting a little bored of drawing the same characters over and over. I know that's something I'll have to overcome if I plan on doing this professionally - what if I get involved with a TV series, with multiple, half-hour long episodes that take months, sometimes years, to complete? But, to the same effect, I feel like when I draw different cartoons at the same time, my work doesn't get lazier and the motivation for projects I'm really excited for stays fresh and keeps me.. well, excited.
As of right now, though, I feel like I'm overwhelming myself [and my laptop, geez, I'm surprised it hasn't gone in full-blown Pirate-style Mutiny Mode]. Four projects are open in Flash right now as I type this.
So, I wanted to ask - what do you guys do? Are you all project jugglers like myself, or do you stick to your guns on one thing at a time? And, how does that work for you and your productivity?

What do you mean by jugglers?
