The media has been trying to make this about race but it isn't; Trayvon was beating the shit out of Zimmerman at the time the trigger was pulled. All Zimmerman knew beforehand was that he saw a guy walking around at night in a neighborhood which had experienced burglaries in the past.

If you weren't a fucking idiot, you might understand that atrocities like "the massacres of Native Americans" and "the slavery of African Americans" are merely the result of human nature, and not just a "white" thing. It's what happens when powerful people crave more power. Similar things have happened with other non-white cultures throughout history.

Race does not dictate who you are. Generally accepted phrase, right?
It doesn't just apply to United States minorities. We've dome some shitty stuff, but so have leading powers of every other race. It's not a white thing, it's a human thing. We just happened to thrive here as the leading power.

I'm not racist, nor have I ever done anything to intentionally harm another person especially not by purely discriminatory motive.

Why should I be ashamed?

I think people should feel fine with whoever they are, regardless of ethnicity, race, nationality, faith, etc. but I remember in high school and even in community college, that some teachers would say touchy things about the subject. Where I live is mostly liberal, and many of my teachers I've had in the past seem to express liberal viewpoints. I've had a teacher who once said "we as European Americans have destroyed a lot of great societies and nations and took over land and were oppressive towards dark-skinned people." He actually kind of made an apology "on the behalf of white people" and I just thought it was a bit strange and not really necessary. He was a hippie folk type person.

Do you have proof that Zimmerman went after trayvon martian because he was black? Or was it the civil activists, the media, and every other tom dick and harry that made this a case about race?

I am leaning towards the later since that is actually proven where as zimmerman going after trayvon wasn't.

Yeah but it was never on the news, billboards, or nowhere nearly as overexposed as Trayvon Martin. You don't here about Christina anymore, while Trayvon martin case is a year old and still raging the media

because as i said, the guy got caught shortly after the murder and is going to jail, while in the Martin case people the outrage began over how the police initially handled the case.
