Has anyone ever thought about that in 200 years coffee could be illegal? Think about it. You know what was legal 200 years ago? Heroin and Opium. You know where people smoked opium? Opium houses. You know where people drink coffee? Coffee houses. You know what both heroin and coffee are? Psycho-actives. Coincidence? Absolutely.

Oh, I don't care. I don't drink coffee, I just want to scare the shit out of people who do, while also kinda sorta making a point.

If coffee disappeared it would be a global disaster on the highest scale.
Though I don't drink coffee...caffeine in general doesn't really do anything for me, I just drink energy drinks for the taste >_>

Actually, coffee will be over-the-counter medicine, you'll just have to shop in a different part of the store to get it, big inconvenience.

It'll be illegal because I'm going to drink it all and then you'll have to dig up my grave to retrieve it, breaching an altogether different law.

Especially since this generation of people is supposedly not going to live as long as our parent's generation.

Obviously coffee is entirely different from drugs in that it improves both your physical and mental performance, and actually gives long term benefits. I doubt it would be prohibited.

And by drugs I, of course, mean the illegal ones mentioned by the OP. Caffeine is different from illegal drugs, hence the lack of prohibition.

Which is basically what I've been saying, that caffeine is different from other, illegal, drugs.

Not much different besides being weaker, but there are some differences, especially if you look at long term consumption. I'd say that caffeine is better than meth. Have a look at the respective WIkipedia articles if you're interested.

Well I'm too lazy to look up the difference between them (and no I'll not take caffeine nor meth to up my energy level), however I'll just note that morphine isn't exactly legal in the way caffeine is, since morphine is prescription based.

When I drink coffee, I start floating and I see black and white spots. Then I get a head and tummy ache. Coffee doesn't like me, and I don't like coffee. But so many people have such an emotional attachment to it I'm afraid that banning it would make all of us victims of their anger and malarkey. Either that or everyone would start stocking up on soda.
