lucky day definitely deserves the win if anyone does. as a nominee i'll gladly support lucky day, and i hope to be nominated again in the future =)

My faith in humanity has often taken blows on Newgrounds. But none have ever hit so hard as the popularity of Lucky Day Forever. Which is my least favorite flash on all of Newgrounds. I can't help but look past the animation and the sexual innuendos throughout to the base story of "ugly black people who live in poverty and servitude all dream of being attractive white people who live in opulence." Which I find to be very insulting.

I'm curious as to what you find so insulting about it. If the animation is racist towards anyone it's racist towards white people because it's making them look like elitist overloads who lack compassion towards other races. The animation seems to be from a black perspective seeing as the protagonist is black (supposedly) and you're supposed to identify with him.

But really, I don't think the animation has anything to do with race. It's about the subjugated masses of people who are manipulated into eternally longing for a better life that doesn't exist. Maybe it's a story about "ugly people who live in poverty and servitude all dreaming of being attractive people who live in opulence." But what's so offensive about that?

I need help importing videos to Youtube... I tried importing my most recent one to youtube and its almost like after uploading to youtube the animation is sped up and ends up horrible and choppy! When i preview my animation in flash it looks great and its just the same here on NewGrounds! But for some strange reason when I try to put i on youtube it gets very choppy and speeds up to where its way to fast! Any help with this?

Congrats to the winners! It feels like it was just yesterday i watched Lucky Day Forever, with its amazingly interesting premise, artstyle, and atmosphere.

And also played the shit out of Abobo's Big Adventure.
Challenging and fun, with old school references, and extremely fun controls :)

I haven't really heard any of Kor-Rune's music before now, til this award popped up. But his guitar solo's are freakin awesome :D

And deathink is just awesome. Enough said :D

Really? You find it more insulting than Sandy Hook Shootemup? I agree that there were some definite inconsistencies throughout Lucky Day Forever, and pretty subjective themes, but it really set a good tone throughout and the animation was keen.

I definitely enjoyed Batman Hates Bronies, Ragemelon, and Swelter better, though.

Abobo's BIg Adventure was pretty cool, I mean maybe I just didn't get it. I thought Infectionator 2 was betfter, but those guys (Toge Productions) just sort of vanished off the Earth. Maybe they graduated college and stopped caring or something. I would rather that happen than a fatal accident or anything like that.

And then to add to the controversy, there is Hillbilly Bongo School.

Yeah, what SafePlagiarism said. First off the "black people" (and i don't even think they are black) are not ugly at all, it's the "white people" that look creepy as fuck. Its not about black people in poverty and white people in opulence, it's about real people in the real world, and fake people living in a fake world. It's a commentary on today's mass media, and an extremely accurate one at that.
