The Mad Max series is set in post-nuclear Australia, where fuel has practically become a currency... The series has some impressively makeshift and suped-up cars, from villainous tankers and spiked trucks in the upcoming Fury Road, to makeshift dune buggies and Max's own Interceptor. Many vehicles are outfitted with more powerful engines, built-in weapons and defense mechanisms, and even wicked paint jobs....
So, people of Newgrounds, I ask... Imagine yourself in the Mad Max universe. What would your vehicle be like? What car would you use for the base? What modifications, weapons, and decorations would you add? Keep in mind that you'd have to assemble such a vehicle using resources plausibly available in the post-apocalypse...
Me, I think I'd go for a Jeep Wrangler. Since I live in Florida, I'd have it fitted with off-road tires to make an easy getaway into the brush if need be. I'd have a bull skull mounted on the hood, and a ballista mounted on the back... Ammo would be easy to make, and it'd be less prone to jamming, as a machine gun would in my states weather conditions...
What's your vehicle like?

Florida? Man that is the perfect set up for a match... cause I'm RIGHT HERE! I'm sure you know that they're making a Road Warrior game. As for my car, I'm gonna have to go with the General on this one, started falling in love with the 69 Charger and is on my top 2 cars. I wouldn't do much to it,spare gas tanks of course but the General is capable of all sorts of Hazard. They went through 2 cars an episode, what could possibly go wrong?
Plan is simple, out drive you!

Actually it was a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, it was simply modified to look like a 69 Charger.

A folding chair. Now all I need is to focus my chi and i'll be able to slide across the surface at break neck speeds. Then bash someone across the face at 400 mph.

That show wrecked so many Chargers that they would buy any Charger they could modify to look like a 69. You never see just one car, a jump would DESTROY that car...

There were between 250 and 300 Dodge Chargers used throughout the series. Of those only 17 still exist.
And none of them are a 1970 Charger.

I'd probably go with an oldschool 50s convertible Hot Rod with kneecappers (those spikes that are on chariot wheels like in Ben-Hur) mounted on the hubcaps, a picture of Aku painted on the hood, blades hidden all over the place in case someone tries to catch me unaware, flamethrowers mounted on the front and spiked bumpers.

Whatever car has a big tank, gets the best mileage, and depletes the battery life the slowest, but without needing to be charged, cuz you know, no electricity.

Ford RS200. Powerful engine for outrunning the bandits, and it's 4WD and built for rallying so I can take the chase off the road if need be.

If nobody's going to rob you for gas, why would you need the weapons?
Also I like how you shopped yourself behind the wheel, nice touch.

lol, all you have to do is weld scrap metal onto key points of almost literally any vehicle, and welding big chunks of metal onto bigger chunks of metal isn't hard at all
The first thing that came to mind is the 'Bank of Banoi' armored truck from Dead Island, despite the fact that the engineer dude barely put anything at all on it

Oversimplification. Like saying armor is just strapping pieces of metal onto key points of almost any person
