Fireworks malfunctioned at a 4th of July event, resulting in the injuries of nearly 30 people. At least four people, believed to be children, are hospitalized for what are considered to be more serious injuries.
The fireworks were definitely not operated properly, and whoever is responsible for that probably shouldn't touch fireworks anytime soon.
Those people sure knew how to celebrate their national day.

I can see the firework operators being hurt, but how did spectators get hurt? No one should have been allowed close enough to the launching area to be hurt if fireworks exploded on the ground. Bad management.
Ah, the fireworks stand tipped over so they fired into the crowd, so they traveled away from the launch site before exploding.

Also, spectators should definitely distance themselves from the fireworks display as much as possible. Unfortunately it didn't work out this time.
Getting burned on the 4th of July is a right a passage, I remember the first time I got burnt, aaah the memories. Sure this was more dramatic, but hey you gotta pay to play.

I stayed in and watched the annual 4th of July Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy.
My town doesn't have fireworks until this Sunday, they wait until our town's community day, which is always the 1st Sunday after the 4th. So I had to go to another nearby town to see fireworks on the 4th. They had a nice display, but it just ended, with no clear finale. Everyone was like "WTF?!" and after waiting for like 5 minutes everyone figured it was just a lame ending. 15 minutes later, after everyone left and was walking home, back to their cars, etc, the grande finale erupted. So I quick pulled out my phone and started recording.
