I just want to say "hello" to everybody and present myself to the community,
(I don't find a presentation section, I hope this is the right one :P )
I'm a 3D Artist from Italy, I'd like to become a professional animator/character animator.
I usually use Cinema 4D for my work, though I'd like to learn Flash for training my animation skill&freehand drawing. Thx for Jazza tutorial, I find out newgrounds where I want to share some of my work to get a lot of feedbacks and critiques to improve my skills!

If you're looking for comment and critique on your work, the art and animation subforums will be your best bet! As I'm sure you've figured out already, you can upload your finished projects to the movie portal, or art portal for others to see. I do believe the members of the forum might be more experienced in 2D animation in flash, but I'm sure they'll have some input for any 3D projects as well.

First things first, to survive at NG you either need to beat somebody up, or become someone's bitch. It also helps to slap "Clock" and the end of your name for guaranteed protection.
Try to shower as little as possible, and if you absolutely have to, remember to use the rope attached to the soap. It's there for a reason.

You're lucky that the rules changed recently. One thing that the rule used to let me do is to point you to the rules so there's the link for it if you ever plan on coming back to the fourms.

like any other program there are pro and con, surely there is a lot of stuff to learn but you can specialize in 1 thing like modeling or lighting, texturing, animating ecc ecc... you don't have to know everything, at least not at professional level
in the end i find myself very comfortable to use it and very fun!
