The 10 Worst Pickuplines in Skyrim 2013-06-23 10:14:43 Reply

Yes! After years of false rumor and outlandish tales of my demise. the infamous CHIKUNHED has finally returned! Mocker of moderators, Plague of self promotion, Harrier of the hack! And fondler of kittens, awwww. I'm also the purveyor of fourthperspective.com of which I am exceptionally proud.

Except this time I have come bearing goodwill, a gift and some sage advice for my fellow writers whom I used to know so well. It's certainly been a while and it's good to be back. I know a lot of the posts here are needlessly long-winded and I have no intention to add to them so I'll keep it pithy.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. The reason I'm writing to you today is to announce that one of my comedy scripts has been adopted by an exceptionally talented director and subsequently he has created a film from it. Of course I'm as proud as punch to have my first script produced in machinima: "The 10 Worst Pickup Lines in Skyrim".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFI5wGf0WN4 (likes, comments and favourites are greatly appreciated!)

This was a custom piece I wrote specifically for the fellow. Although it has only been released for a few days, his regular audience has thoroughly embraced the idea and there are signs that a whole new demographic is starting to sit up and take notice. Given the early success of the project he has so kindly offered to produce three more spec scripts that I had previously written and endorsed.

How did I land myself in this enviable position you ask? Very simply, if you want to get noticed as a writer, be noticeable! Be polite, be efficient, be relentless in your pursuit as an author or screenwriter and don't turn down any opportunity- even if you doubt the script/story will be produced/published; if it's quality you can always spec it to other prospective producers later and it hones your skill.

Don't let me make it sound too easy though, the first one is a killer. At least it was for me, I've written dozens of specs that will probably end up as trunks- but if you're dedicated, there's always a way. Thankfully now I have a foundation of success on which to build so this process should get easier as long as the scripts remain sharp, witty, original and above all- entertaining.

Good luck my friends, sincerely,
Michael Danton.

I certainly think so, as I've mentioned before I'm very proud of my first collaborative venture. We're also looking for some voice talent, so if you're that way inclined and you'd like to play a role in upcoming episode. We'd very much like to hear from you, see the link for more details.

Hey buddy, nice to see you're still alive and apparently well. As you can see there's an actual dedicated writing forum here now and a collab system set up for writers and artists, etc. to find each other. So... we won? Kinda?

Anyway, I don't play Skyrim (I gave up on Oblivion when I realized it was like having a second job) so these jokes would go completely over my head, but congrats on the success! I actually left a forum post on FP a couple months ago to catch up with everyone, you should check it out if you haven't already.

Shalom,

Hey buddy, good to see you again!

Let me just say that the reason I'm here is because it's still the only game in town. Although it's dedicated to animators, there's still a great community here and the support network is considerable. In fact, I think it feels a little bit more mature around here now that the mods aren't jumping on you for the smallest invented infraction.

I've posted a few bits of news on fourthperspective.com in regard to my current projects and goals- and before you ask, no I'm not satisfied with the setup they have here. Even if they gave the writers respect enough to have a literary portal, the ranking system around here has always been flawed, it wouldn't work... There would also be a lot of shenanigans going on and over the years I've come up with an elegant solution to solve all these issues in an entirely automated manner.

I've always said it, FP will have it's day. Hopefully this is the first step toward that goal.
