Hey guys!
I recently bought a pair of KRK RoKIT 5's with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Soundcard.
I've set the monitors up with the soundcard and everything works well, the thing is though, how do I connect my subwoofer to the soundcard so I can control the voloume of the subwoofer together with the monitors from the soundcard?
The soundcard only has 2 inputs for 1 monitor each therefore you can connect 2 monitors to the soundcard in total, but since I have a subwoofer aswell and I want to use it, I want to be able to use and control the subwoofer together with the monitors with the soundcard, but how? I can't get both the monitors and the subwoofer work at once, only the monitors or the subwoofer at once.
Sorry if I didn't explain well. If you didn't understand, let me know!
I'd really really appreciate if anyone could help me with this!
Thanks in advance!

I do not know shit about this but maybe....
Does your monitors connect through both inputs?
Try connecting the monitors through one of them R-L cables? You plug in your left and subwoofer together or your right and subwoofer? Just looked that up but it sounds like complete bullshit to me. haha

A RCA cable which connects stereo to go through one mini jack?
What are the input sockets? what type?

just make sure you buy a sub with stereo inputs and outputs, or one that comes with a separate amplifier. that way all you'll need at most are a couple more cables to go from the amp/sub to the speakers. most subs made for home studio use have at least one of these features, just check before you buy anything.
you will not be disappointed by the rokits when they're paired with a nice sub!

this is the audio forum, we have to be unnecessarily kind and fawning :v
but yeah this is something OP should've had sorted before they bought speakers.

Alright.. here is the pictures of my situation.
I know that my sub may be very old, but trust me, it is making its job and it's making some amazing bass, I won't spend another 400$ to buy another sub. My current sub is working great and I really love the bass it's making so there is nothing wrong with it, that's why I want to be able to use the monitors and soundcard together with the sub. I hope these pictures help!
Thanks again!

And finally, the subwoofer (Tsunami, not sure about the model):

didn't read that you had a sub. just assumed you were an idiot.
just go from from soundcard to sub input 1 from the headphone out on the front of the scarlett. RCA to the monitors from the sub. honestly not rocket science.

Why would you use the headphone out? He's just trying to hook up speakers and doesnt realize you go through the sub to the monitors not seperate.
You should use the normal line outs on the back so that you can hook up headphones still.

because if those inputs on the sub are separate 1/8" stereo inputs (i'm 99% sure they are, same deal with all the other gaming/multimedia subs i've used) then sending L and R from the line out (i.e. 2 mono outputs) into both inputs will result in mono output from the speakers.
i guess OP should try both anyway, would be good if you could still use the headphone jack for headphones :v

I'm pretty suprised because it worked if I used the Headphone output, in fact, I have a separate voloume control on the sub and the monitors now so basically it's pretty annoying to get the bass and the monitors voloume level right. If I could somehow fix this problem aswell, then everything would be sorted! Thanks again for the suggestion!

I know, but as I explained... Now I have 2 separate voloume controller knobs, 1 for the monitors and 1 for the bass, so It's annoying to adjust 2 knobs at the same time instead of controlling both the sub and the monitors with 1 knob, if you get what I mean now?
If I could fix this, everything would be fine!

Normally, this is what you need a monitor controller/preamp for. Something like this:
Little bit spendy but oh so worth it.

the headphone/monitor volume on the scarlett will control the volume of both though
.. like, neither the monitors or sub are going to magically keep making sound from nothing if you turn it down at the source.
unless you're using the line out and headphone at the same time... when i said "try both" i meant try both separately to see if using line out made everything mono.
