I work at an amusement park. I work in the rides department and operate what is essentially a bungee jumping ride. I got promoted to site controller for this ride so I get paid a little over minimum wage, but it's okay, I only need the money to build up my savings account. My bosses and coworkers alike are awesome. I'm very happy with my job.

I tutor my friends now and then, plus I get a surprising amount of referrals for landscaping and painstakingly cleaning houses owned by hoarders for good wages.

I work as a computer tech. Basically, I work with a bunch of different computers all day long and try to fix 'em. I get payed a little over minimum wage, and I'm currently taking some post-secondary courses for computer programming. It's a good place to work, I enjoy it and I'm pleased.

I'm a parkie in one of the busiest areas in NYC and I work collaboratively with gardeners and help supervise welfare workers (and soon, I'll have to do the same with Summer Youth teenagers and adults from early July to late August).

The next time you see a guy or girl pulling out weeds, using a hedge trimmer, blowing soil or dust, grabbing, sweeping or bagging trash, pruning trees, planting, and so on, then think about me.

Just a cashier in a supermarket, get paid slightly over minimum wage, bosses are pretty nice, teamleaders are all mostly women (hell yeah dat ass all day long), and the customers are usually very nice too.

I work as a control assistant in Anti-Doping Norway. I get paid slightly more than a cashier would, however the work is sporadic, and some months go practically without any work.

It's a cool job; I get to meet a whole bunch of interesting people, some of which have devoted their lives to their respective sport. The job is mostly waiting for someone to have to pee, so essentially I'm just sitting there and getting hourly paid.

Coincidentally, I'm unemployed starting today. I lost my side job because my temporary contract expired and they wouldn't hand me a full contract (which they never seem to do anywhere nowadays).

I worked as a cashier and at the customer service of a local hardware store for one and a half years. Frankly, I do think it's a bit of a shame that I lost the job because I doubt I'll easily find a side job that's as good. The hours were great, the location was at a five minutes walk from my apartment and I never had to work all that hard.

Lately, working there hasn't been as pleasant though since a lot of my former colleagues were fired earlier due to budget cuts. Also, we closed on Sundays. Normally I worked on Sundays which netted me a double salary, but the last few weeks I worked on Saturdays which meant I worked the same amount of hours for half the pay. Furthermore, I felt like we were getting very short on staff. There was one evening where we had to run the whole store with just three people, which is nearly undoable.

So on one hand I don't like having lost my job, but on the other hand I feel like things are really going to go sour down there soon. So perhaps I made it out just in time.

I'm queen bee (underneath the bee king) of the coffee shop I've worked at for 6+ years.

Boss is a ton better than the one that he took over from. Less humiliation, more responsibilities, and a lot more trust.

It's a love/hate relationship, pretty much depends on the amount of customers at a time, if stuff is restocked, if someone's out sick or not working to my specifications, or if it's one of those rare customers that I hate with every inch of my soul.
