I never thought of those countries as being anti-gay. Well, Pakistan is (I think) prominently Muslim, but it would be stranger if a country like Indonesia or Saudia Arabia was into this. Nigerians have control over the Internet, you know.

It's a defense mechanism. Some people act anti-gay to fight their own gay tendencies. It works pretty well until a Catholic priest is caught molesting little boys.
