I'm a big fan of Mr West. I am.
I don't understand why people hate him so much.

OK... so he interrupted a girl at the MTV music awards, so fucking what? Lets pull our heads out of ass and really look at the situation:

A) It's the MTV music awards -- the same awards show that featured "Fart Man" who presented the awards by farting into the microphone and two cartoon characters who sniff their own fingers. On a channel that prides itself with such wonderful programs about a bunch of dirty drunk whores fucking their way across the beach. Let alone the most obvious fact... they don't even play music videos anymore so who fucking cares what MTV thinks? MTV handing out a best music video award is like me giving away the Nobel Peace prize for quantum mechanics. What the fuck do I know about it? -- I'm old... but in my day, this is what you did on MTV. You showed up drunk, and smashed the fucking set.

I'm glad Kanye interrupted that girl... it's about time rock-stars started acting like rock-stars again.... instead of these prissy little fuckballs who spend their days on twitter trying to say the most inspiring non-offensive things they can think of because they're afraid of what people think of them.

This is music people... this is art. If you give a fuck about other peoples opinions... your doing art wrong.

B) George Bush does not like Black People. -- In my honest opinion, I think Kanye was going to say something "smart" -- he was really going to tell everyone the way it is. But, he cracked under the pressure and ended up bumbling around his own words like a scared cat, and blurted out one of the most iconic, funniest damn things I had ever seen on TV.

Anyone ever seen the movie Black Sheep. It's like that scene where Chris Farley smokes all that weed with the Jamaicans back stage and then mistakenly goes out on live TV during rock the vote and mistakenly says something stupid because backstage (and everyone on the internet) had convinced him that it would be great if somebody would finally say what we're all thinking. But hey, you know who else said something stupid... besides everyone ever? John Lennon. Lennon claimed he was "bigger then Jesus". -- and yet, everyone loves the Beatles. If we can forgive Lennon, can't we forgive Kanye?

C) How bad of a guy is he really? I mean, he's not a criminal, he's not a gang member, he's not addicted to drugs -- football players rape women in the bathroom and everybody just sort of shrugs their shoulders and says "Eh, whatevs!" -- We're talking about a guy who's made himself the biggest damn producer in hip-hop, world wide... and he did it all without promoting violence, drug use, or the "gang life". Instead, he promotes hard work and dedication. To the point where 3 of his albums have been about "working hard to achieve your goals -- not just assuming someone will give you want you want simply because you got a diploma".

D) Kanye and Kim -- so what? You think the dude doesn't want a steady relationship or a family? That it's all just an act or that the tabloids are telling the truth when they say he's running away from the responsibility? First of all... since when do tabloids tell the truth? Second -- have you heard his music? He has songs about the children he doesn't even have yet. He was so heartbroken when his last girlfriend left him, that he wrote an entire 12 track album about it. Kanye says shit like "This isn't Americas baby, this is my baby" and then refuse to talk about the details -- doesn't that sound like something a loving parent would say? If it was all for attention wouldn't he be posting photos and giving out all the details?

E) He's talent-less. 21 Grammys in 6 years says otherwise. So you know... there's that. I get it if you don't personally like his music, but you have to remember that your personal opinion isn't everyones. So to claim that they guy has no talent just because you don't like his music is shitty on your part. He's talented as fuck.

Look, I'm a metal head... but I hate Tool. I find it boring. I know, I know... I hear it all the time from my metal friends... but I would never EVER EVER claim that Tool were "talent-less". They have tons of talent, it just turns out that I don't like their style. Do you see how that works? You can totally not like a persons music... and still not be a dickhead.

I think what Kanye does is great. Broadcasting his face on the side of 66 buildings to debut his new song... strange stage shows where he wears a kilt/skirt thing and shouts into the mic with flashing disco lights -- all of it. it's something only Kanye would do... and isn't that what makes him one of the few real true artists in hip-hop? The fact that he writes his own music, his own lyrics, produces his own albums, does all kinds of crazy unique shit that you'll never forget seeing if you were there on stage -- isn't that what art is about? Isn't that what we want in our musicians?

Everybody says they hate all the fake people in the scene... the Biebers, the Britney Spears... and yet, when somebody comes out balls-to-the-wall not-giving-a-fuck speaking-their-mind real shit like Kanye, you all turn on him like a pack of wolves. What the fuck is that about?

Kanye West's renown is as baseless as Obama's renown. Mass, or critical opinion, when you are a symbol to many people, it always spells out trouble. Religion. Conspiracy theories. Gangs. Presidents. Most critics are the mass, but they forget about that part.
