Interested in helping make a game?

So the game team is slowly coming into play. And we have discussed ideas for background music as well as some different voice actors. The game idea we have come to a decision on will in fact be a horror game with a strange kingdom hearts style.

The player is a teddy bear keeping nightmares away from children. for now we will just call him teddy
Teddy was just created at a build a bear work shop for one of the kid's birthday. one night the boogie man and his army of nightmares take over the dream worlds and give bad dreams to the inocent. teddy is charged with clearing and ridding the rooms in his house hold of all these demonic enemies.

your main weakling bad guys are forgotten toys in which the nightmares taken and twisted in their own horrorific sort of way.
each room has a different nightmare. even though the forgoten toys are about the same they will take on a certain trait as their leader or boss. the room will have a similar style as well. the basic goal of each room is to make your way to the light switch. sounds easy enough however you also have to consider the nightmares have warped the room to fit its own habitate focusing on their them (for example: if the chiled is afraid of hieghts his bed will be suspended high in the sky with platforms for teddy to jump across from platform to platform untill he reaches the switch)

the further you get in the game the harder the enemies will be as well as the more complex the rooms will become.

Anyways this will take a very long time in creating and will be with udk graphics. I am asking you people if interested in voice acting or composing video game music. There are Skype meetings every Thursday around 6pm central. 7est. And 4pacific times. If you are interested in creating 3d characters or taking part in sketching up 2d concepts as well I'm sure the group will be more than happy for you're assistance.

right at this moment there is no deadline for game development so there is no rush.

we are aiming to set this as a pc game along with some of the big time console game platfors like xbox and playstation.

keep in mind there are no garantees that you or your work will be used for the game due to the project leader's very picky taste. however if you are used it will be a great chance to have your name credited and wuld serve great in a resume for any gaming company. I hope to hear from you soon.

the project leader has out of the blue decided she wants the main character to be female.
I personaly have no problem with that however i would like an option between male and female.
so i am asking what yall would like as the main character to play as
male
female
both
can care less so long as i can kill shit

it may prove to be very difficult to script it out in the game however we would like a few female voice people as well.
the character either way is leaning toward a spunky sarcastic attitude with a tiny person voice.

Just think spooky levels and see where it takes you.

Again we are still in the very beginning phase of development
In other words nothing has been decided yet as to the story of the game, characters,and deadlines
there may be a chance we won't even use your submissions however never hurts to have stuff ready

The progress updates will most likely be posted on my news feed. This thread is mainly grabbing voulenteers for the project

I can Orchestrate and have my Grade 8 ABRSM in Music Theory and Piano (In case you like qualifications rather than music)

Sure thing we can always use extra talent to go with the game. Remember we are still in discussion phase so don't be alarmed if it takes 2 years before we start tying in sound tracks :p

ok so here is an update
the main character is going to infact be a female character spunky badass punch a demon in the face assuming it has a face type of chick.
for you male voice actors that were looking to be the main character i apologize. but dont fear we may still need you for the nighmare roles and extras. still too soon to tell however.

2d artist Now is your time to shine and create at least 5 concepts of nightmareish monsters we are aiming for abstract yet not going overboard as far as limbs go needs to be able to create a low poly character with 3d programs and what not. we would like front back and side views if possible (makes it easier to convert to a 3d model)
you can also think of nightmare enviroments. Remember these are ideas for games.

3d artist of you feel the need to show off your nightmarish creatures and girly teddy bear concepts by all means feel free as well as different props and what not.

musical artist
keep it up with the spooky tracks as well as a few hard hitting action tracks to keep the players pumped or in fear for their lives

the main system will be on pc with unreal engine graphics. it is a 3rd person view.

for more information on the games main idea so far visit my news feed. if any questions by all means ask away.

Again keep in mind that even if you end up throughing hundreds of concepts our way there is still a chance we will not pick any. it doesent mean we do or dont like them it just means the project leader and programers may not be able to work with them.

You can post it on here or your page and message me so I'll know and sendi to the project leader to decide what she wants to use. . Keep in mind that there is no garente that it will be used but there is a good chance
